To celebrate Halloween in the best possible way, Apple has updated part of its product list. In addition to the MacBook Pro 14″/16″ with M3, M3 Pro and M3 Max, the Cupertino giant has also presented the much requested update of its AiO. The new 24″ iMac with M3 chip it is – according to Tim Cook and associates – “the best all-in-one computer in the world” and now it is “even more powerful and versatile“.
iMac 24″ with M3: same outside, new inside
The next generation iMac is twice as fast as the model with M1, and up to 4 times faster than the most powerful 21.5″ model with Intel chips. The new M3 processor – equipped with an 8-core CPU and up to 10-core GPU -, well supported by the unified memory which goes up to 24GB.
Apple’s is an all-in-one for every business, from those related to entertainment to those focused on one’s creative passions. Without obviously forgetting gaming, which is an area on which Apple is focusing a lot.
From the press release released in these hours we learn that compared to the AiO with M1:
- Safari is up to 30% faster
- Productivity apps, including Microsoft Excel, are up to 30% faster
- Games load faster and (in some cases) frame rates are up to 50% faster
Aesthetically there are no new features to report. The iMac comes with a display Retina 4,5K da 24″ with 11.3 million pixels, one videocamera FaceTime HD a 1080p and incredibly slim design. The colors, then, remain unchanged: green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue and silver.
In terms of connectivity, then, there is everything you need: Wi-Fi 6EBluetooth 5.3, up to four USB-C (including two Thunderbolt) and support for the Gigabit Ethernet standard.
Prices and availability
The new iMac can already be pre-ordered with a starting price of 1.629€ with 8-core GPU and 1.859€ with 10-core GPU. Deliveries will begin on Tuesday 7 November.
