AGM, a Chinese brand versed since 2011 in rugged devices with an eye to the outdoors, presented a new smartphone with a typical armored look, the Glory G1S, with a specification that (net of the obsolete Android 11 supplied) puts it at the forefront of the industry.

Equipped with reinforcements at the corners and IP68 / IP69K and MIL-STD-810H certifications, the device in question (315 grams) withstands shocks, extreme conditions and immersions in water up to 1.5 meters for half an hour. On the front, the device comes with a chassis 1.15% lighter than the previous AGM Glory Pro: the credit also goes to the fact that, on the battery side, it folds up on a 5,500 mAh accumulator that supports fast charging at 18W ( possibly with the appropriate dock that provides a vertical support), but which lacks the components for wireless charging.

Along the perimeter there is no shortage of torch, laser pointer, a fingerprint scanner, the 3.5 mm mini-jack, the microUSB Type-C door and, on the side, a programmable button.

The AGM Glory G1S screen is a 6.53-inch FullHD TFT LTPS LCD panel: in the front, intended as a frame, the 16 megapixel self-camera operates: behind, they are present, in a curious pattern that places in the north east, north west, south east, south west of the small sensors together with the LED flash with escape route in the center towards the main sensor, the components of the multi-camera. The latter offers a 48 megapixel Sony main sensor, a 20 megapixel one for night vision (Sony IMX 350) with an infrared LED, and a thermal imaging camera, whose 40 thousand mini sensors give images with the highest resolution in the sector. equal to 256 x 192 pixels, with a “cinematic” frame rate of 25 FPS.

Equipped with a noise suppression system, the AGM Glory G1S, priced on the official store at $ 699 (about 651 euros), adopts the Snapdragon 480 processor, supported by 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB for storage, expandable via microSD of another terabyte. Connectivity includes 5G, Dual SIM, GPS, NFC for payments, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0.
