Following the rumors of the last few weeks, an unprecedented rugged smartphone was actually unveiled at the end of May, the Amazfit T-Rex 2, which Huami will also bring to Italy from next June 1st.

In confirmation of the references that had been found in the Zepp Health companion app, and of the rumors born following the validation of the FCC body, Huami, fresh from the launch of the Amazfit GTR 2 New Version, announced the arrival, also in Italy ( as well as in Germany and France), from next June 1st, in 4 colors inspired by nature, according to a price of 229.99 euros, of the new Amazfit T-Rex 2 armored smartwatch.
Evolution of the 2020 model, the new Amazfit T-Rex 2 wearable has a waterproof chassis up to 10 atmospheres (for diving in water) and, according to the company, has passed the difficult tests foreseen in 15 resistance tests of military level (according to MIL-STD-810G standards), denoting its vocation for outdoor use, also confirmed by the presence of the dual band GPS, and sensors such as altimeter, compass, and barometer.
Basically, it has a circular design, almost like Casio’s old-style G-Shock chronograph, with a round 1.39-inch (vs the previous 1.3) display in the center on the roof at 454 x 454 pixels, AMOLED type.
Thanks to other types of sensors, such as the accelerometer, the gyroscope, and the six BioTracker photodiodes placed instead on the vest, the Amazfit T-Rex 2 tracks the heart rate, the stress levels for all 24 hours, and SpO2 blood oxygen saturation: obviously, the data provided by these sensors are not just for well-being, since they also allow us to obtain valid metrics on over 150 sports activities covered.
It should be noted that, with the new model, there is also a feature that, allowing the import of predefined routes, then allows you to follow them directly from the wrist, without having to draw on the smartphone. Instead, the join with the smartphone is entrusted to Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, from which to receive alerts, notifications from apps, and alerts of received calls: the battery, sized at 500 mAh, according to the company promises up to 24 hours of autonomy (presumably without relying too much on GPS and tracking for wellness).
