In the week just ended, Google presented the future of its smartphones and its operating system with Android 14 and the Google Pixel 8 line. We already know that, obviously, Android 14 is available on Pixel phones, starting with the latest flagships. Yet, other manufacturers have also managed to release the latest iteration of the green robot in recent days, almost following in step with the Big G. Let’s see, for example, which Xiaomi smartphones are available with Android 14.
Android 14 arrives on these Xiaomi smartphones
According to what was reported by the team of XiaomiUIthese days the stable OTA update to MIUI 14 is arriving on three smartphones around the world: Xiaomi 13, 13 Pro, e Xiaomi 12T. Specifically, here are the affected builds:
- Xiaomi 13: IUI-V18.104.22.168.UMCMIXM / MIUI-V22.214.171.124.UMCEUXM
- Xiaomi 13 Pro: MIUI-V126.96.36.199.UMBMIXM / MIUI-V188.8.131.52.UMBEUXM
- Xiaomi 12T: MIUI-V184.108.40.206.ULQMIXM / MIUI-V220.127.116.11.ULQEUXM
The most interesting curiosity is that the beta version was released a few weeks ago; ergo, it is an almost immediate release, and therefore not free from technical problems. That said, it seems that the Chinese team is still working assiduously to improve the latest version of the proprietary MIUI interface, which is consequently in an imperfect stable version. This means that Xiaomi users will be the first to try Android 14 outside of the environment offered by the Google Pixel, and therefore, in addition to the new features of the operating system, they will have to put up with all the relevant bugs.
It is clear that MIUI 14 already includes a number of noteworthy new features and improvements, including new accessibility features for people with disabilities, improvements to language management and more customization possibilities. It is not clear when Xiaomi will bring Android 14 to other phones of the brand, but a release is expected over the next few months, when MIUI 14 will be more secure and actually stable.
