Apple presents the MacBook Pro with M3, M3 Pro and M3 Max

As widely speculated, Apple’s first event Halloweenif we want to define it that way, turned out to be completely focused on Mac. During the keynote total black registered as usual at the Cupertino headquarters, Tim Cook and associates presented several new features. Among these, also the new MacBook Proavailable in 14″ and 16″ versions and with chip M3, M3 Pro and M3 Max.

The next generation MacBook Pro adopts the entire M3 chip family (with 3 nanometer production process), composed of M3, M3 Pro and M3 Max. All models are designed to guarantee top of the range performance in every areafrom entertainment (including gaming) to productivity, from studying to more intense workflows with multitasking with professional apps.

As can easily be understood, however, the three models offer performance peaks that vary based on the processor and – consequently – they are aimed at users with different needs.

  • Il MacBook Pro 14″ con M3 it is a solution for those who want to focus on a notebook of absolute quality for school, work and creative use (music and video, for example). Rendering in Final Cut Pro, for example, is up to 60% faster than on the 13″ Pro with M1 chip. The starting price is 2,049 euros.
  • The 2023 Apple notebook with 14″ or 16″ display and M3 Pro processor it is instead ideal for more demanding workflows, such as those related to programming and research. For example, editing in Adobe Photoshop is up to 40% faster than on the 16″ MacBook Pro with M1 Pro. The starting price for the Europen market is 2,599 euros.
  • Il MacBook Pro 14″/16″ con M3 MaxFinally, it is for the most extreme uses, such as machine learning programming, creating 3D artwork, and professional video editing. Compared to the Pro 16″ with M1 Max, it is 2.5 faster. The starting price is 4,099 euros.

However, there are also characteristics in common, such as display Retina XDR with 20% brighter SDR content, the 1080p camera, the six-speaker audio system and the always welcome wide range of connectivity options.

How much the new MacBook Pro M3s cost and when they will be available in Europe

All new MacBook Pro configurations (with macOS Sonoma) are available for pre-order today at the prices listed below. Deliveries will begin Tuesday 7 Octobertherefore in exactly one week.

With M3 chip (14″ only, in Space Gray and Silver)

  • M3 processor, 8GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD: 2.279€

With M3 Pro chip (Space Black and Silver)

  • 16″, with M3 Pro (12-core CPU, 18-core GPU), 18GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD: 3.099€

With M3 Max chip (Space Black and Silver)

Apple, as usual, also allows you to go further and to purchase an even more customizable notebook. For the 16″ MacBook Pro with M3 Max, for example, it is possible to increase the RAM (up to 128GB), SSD storage (up to 8TB) and opt for pre-installed software like Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro.

By choosing the configuration with the best that Apple has to offer, the price obviously rises, and not by a little. The aforementioned 16″ Pro with M3 Max, however, equipped with 128GB of RAM and 8TB of SSD, in fact, it costs €8,629 in Europe.
