Waiting for the suggestive AyaNeo Slide, the Chinese brand AyaNeo has announced the specifications of the AyaNeo Air gaming handheld, only hinted at CES 2022, and now ready to debut in crowdfunding on Indiegogo.

The new AyaNeo Air gaming handheld 224.0 x 89.5 x 17.0 ~ 26.7 mm for 395 grams / 224.0 x 89.5 x 18.0 ~ 26.7 mm for 410 grams), different from the Pro model (224 x 89.5 x 21.6-26.7 mm for 450 grams) for several small variations, is the first of the series to mount an OLED display, moreover with high resolution, specifically FullHD equal to 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. For the processors, the new handhelds adopt AMD’s Ryzen 5000 APUs. Specifically, the AyaNeo Air series will be available in a total of five configurations, almost all based on the Ryzen 5 5560U chip (6 cores from 2.3 GHz base to 4 GHz boost, 12 threads) in the case of the base AIR, except one, destined to the Pro one, which will provide two cores (from 2 GHz to 4.5 GHz of boost) and four more threads due to the Ryzen 7 5825U. The integrated GPU will be a Radeon Vega, 7 on the base Air, 8 on the Air Pro.

Moving on to the memories, the RAM can be from 8 GB of LPDDR4x-3200 type in the two iterations of the AyaNeo Air base with 5-12W or 5-15W of TDP, or from 16 GB (LPDDR4x-4266) in the two versions with 5- 18W of TDP. In the case of the AyaNeo Pro, again with 5-18W of TDP, the RAM will rise to 32 GB (LPDDR4x-4266). SSD storage (M.2 2280) will include 128GB in the 5-12W AyaNeo Air of TDP, 256GB in the 5-15W one, and 512GB / 1TB or 512GB / 2TB in the Pro model with 5-18W .

The battery will be 28 Wh (7,350 mAh) in the base AIR models from 5-12W and 5-15W, and from 38 Wh (10,050 mAh) in the others, but also in the AyaNeo Air Pro. All 5 configurations of the AyaNeo series Air (the 4 base and the only Pro) will be equipped with a fingerprint scanner.

The colors will also vary according to the configurations, and will include shades of pink, black, white, and silver (in this case only for the 32 GB / 2 TB Pro). In terms of distribution, the AyaNeo Air will arrive in crowdfunding from the beginning of August, starting from $ 549 at retail scaled to 499 for early birds, while – from the beginning of September – it will be up to the Pro model, starting from $ 999 at retail. scaled to 899 for early investors (for the 16 GB + 512 GB version).
