Several months after the last model, revealed last July, the Danish brand Bang & Olufsen has announced the worthy heir to the Beoplay EQ true wireless earphones, represented by the new Beoplay EX wireless earphones, cadenced in 3 colors, including the elegant Black Anthracite (June), the opulent Gold Tone (late May) and the “surprising” Anthracite Oxygen (early May), always at the same price, of 399 euros.

The Beoplay EX earphones come with the temple form factor, the result of the rational tastes of the industrial designer Thomas Bentzen: IP57 waterproof against dust, sweat and water (immersed for half an hour at 1 meter depth), the new Nordic earphones have squared stems , and the external round part, designed to incorporate the touches, with a glass coating on a brushed aluminum ring on which the B&O logo is engraved. The angle of the terminal part favors a stable adhesion to the hollow of the ear, in the same way as the part that is inserted inside it, smaller also to ensure greater comfort in long wear (already benefited from the slender weight, 6 grams per unit, earphones).

Each of the two units has 3 MEMC microphones (6 in total) which, thanks to beamforming technology, perfectly isolate the user’s voice from external noises during the call, ensuring always clear calls: during the listening phase, the drivers come into play. 9.2 mm, the largest in a pair of wireless earphones for the brand, which promise clear sound, rich in detail, deep and therefore engaging, also very powerful in terms of bass. Furthermore, while listening, the aforementioned microphones intervene, which support the adaptive active cancellation (Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation) of the surrounding noises, with the user who can also activate the transparency mode to let some sounds pass for safety purposes.

Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, and Made for iPhone (MFi) certified, Beoplay EX earphones benefit from Bluetooth 5.2 connection with support for AAC, SBC, aptX Adaptive and multi-point codecs to keep the earphones connected to two sources ( eg tel and PC) at the same time.

Via the companion app, the Beoplay EX earphones provide the user with various presets, sound equalization, and the ability to adjust the cancellation of environmental noise while, in terms of autonomy, the microbatteries (70 mAh) of the earphones, which can be charged. in 1.5 hours, they ensure a maximum of 6 hours with the ANC which becomes 8 without, being able to add an extra 1.75 hours after 20 minutes of quick charge. Thanks to the matching case (53 grams) in brushed aluminum (380 mah, chargeable in 1.45 hours via Type-C, or 2.15 hours in wireless Qi), you get to 21 hours of playback at moderate volume.
