Focused for a long time on rugged smartphones and with great autonomy, the Chinese brand Blackview for some time has also been active in the tablet branch where, in the past few hours, it has placed the Blackview Tab in an intermediate position between the previous Tab 6 and Tab 8. 7, which completes the mosaic of its recent tablets.

The new Blackview Tab 7 tablet (245.26 euros, to be delivered from 9 August), not yet appeared on the official website of the brand, but already on sale in its store at Aliexpress (with shipments also to Italy), measures 238.5 x 157.45 x 8.3 mm, and weighs 600 grams. The chassis, made of plastic, has been customized in the three alternative colors Space Gray, Lunar Silver and Twilight Blue. Frontally, the bezels are evident on all 4 sides, but are aesthetically balanced by the micro-curves of the corners: the 10.1-inch display is a resolute 1280 × 800 pixel IPS LCD panel, with an aspect ratio of 16: 9 and a 79% screen-to-body: the self-camera goes up to a maximum of 2 megapixels, but supports face unlock for security.

The back at the top left shows a small, slightly protruding horizontal pill, designed to house the 5 megapixel single camera, together with the relative LED flash. The audio, on the other hand, relies on two powerful stereo speakers.

The octacore (2.0 GHz) Unisoc T310 processor with IMG PowerVR GE8300 GPU, previously seen on BMAX’s rival MaxPad I10 Pro, has been tasked with offering the performance to the new Blackview Tab 7, along with 3 GB of extended RAM (LPDDR4) to 5 GB through virtual expansion, and to 32 GB of storage (EMMC 5.1), expandable via microSD up to 1 TB (giving up, however, one of the two SIMs designed to support 4G mobile connectivity).

Compared to the Tab 6 last fall, the battery goes from 5,580 to 6,580 mAh, sufficient – once charged at 10W – for 336 hours of stand-by, 24 hours of music playback, 32 hours of calls, 5 hours of gaming, 7 web browsing, 6 video playback. The on-board connectivity features GPS (A-GPS, BeiDou, Glonass, Galileo), Bluetooth 5.0 (A2DP), Wi-Fi ac (display, direct, hotspot) in the Blackview Tab 7. and a microUSB 2.0 Type-C (with OTG). For the operating system, the choice fell on Android 11 under the Doke OS_P 2.0 interface, which brings with it various utilities, such as Reading mode and Nightlight mode so as not to tire the eyes.
