With the release of Tiny Tina’s in Wonderland, a spin off of the main series, and the film due out in 2022, the famous 2K Games series is experiencing the best period of the series.
It cannot be denied that the Borderlands series is not known to most but rather, over time it has managed to make itself known by many fans around the world. In fact, through a spokesperson for the company, namely Gearbox, it was known that the series is experiencing its best period after a long time since the release of the first chapter in 2009.
The popularity of the series is based on two intriguing aspects that are hard to find in other titles, such as loads of fun-filled shootings and a style of looting reminiscent of the Diablo saga: this creative choice has helped the series to stand the test of time by giving a sense of humor and performance one of a kind.
Over time the series has given a sequel called Borderlands 2 that carried on the plot of the first episode released in 2012, while in 2014 a prequel called Borderlands The Pre-Sequel arrived, receiving lots of praise from the community, as well as several expansions, guaranteeing many secondary missions and subplots in the name of immersion in the game world.
With a small parenthesis linked to the unfortunate Battleorn, Gearbox has dedicated itself to Borderlands 3 with many expansions, guaranteeing limited-time events in which the completion of certain specific tasks for the players allows them to receive one or more rare equipment. With the announcement of Borderlands 4 not much is known yet through the official channels: we will monitor the network for further rumors. Meanwhile, Randy Pitchford, boss of Gearbox, announced during E3 of 2021 a spin off titled Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands set between the second and third episode of the series.
