After the avalanche of ads unveiled at the end of January, the American brand Hewlett Packard has presented, for now in India, a new laptop with ChromeOS (and Assistant), the Chromebook x360 14a (Intel), a convertible aimed at students who need a practical but not too expensive support for learning in the FaD (distance learning) regime, or simply to study using the tools and services of the World Wide Web.

Just over the size of an ultrabook in weight, with its 1.49 kg of chassis and components, the Chromebook x360 14a (Intel) uses a resolute 14-inch HD LCD touch screen with 81% screen-to-body, attached to a hinge with 360 ° rotation that allows the terminal to act as a notebook and tablet, or to take the “folds” as a stand and awning, perhaps to follow a tutorial while you are busy do something else.

Given the intended use, the Chromebook x360 14a (Intel) does not miss a webcam for video calls, with HD resolution and 88 ° wide angle to shoot and frame even more people together.

In comparison, the manufacturer has pursued the goal of ease of use by providing a full-sized keyboard, therefore of normal size, with a special quick access key (“everything”, everything) to Google search. Below it, it was decided to integrate, instead of the AMD chips of the original version, a 2019 processor made by Intel with 14 nanometer lithography: this is the quadcore (from 1.1 to 2-6 GHz in Turbo Boost) 4-thread Celeron N4120, equipped with the Intel UHD 600 integrated graphics card with maximum 700 MHz.

The RAM amounts to 4 GB, while the storage, of the eMMC type, stops at 64 GB: the user, however, will have 100 GB free on Google One, the Mountain View cloud service, for one year. Equipped with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 5 wireless connectivity, the Chromebook x360 14a (Intel), on a single charge, promises up to 14 hours of battery life, always being able to rely on the manufacturer’s fast charging technology (HP Fast Charge) . The HP Chromebook x360 14a (Intel) is offered in Mineral Silver, Forest Teal, Ceramic White colors, at a price of 29,999 rupees, equal to about 362 euros.
