Nevertheless, it may happen that a gamer needs something more compact than a tower, not having the necessary space: the Chinese brand COLORFUL, specialized for almost 30 years in computer components, has fulfilled the needs in question with the original AIO. G-ONE, soon available in the US starting at $ 1,999.
The COLORFUL G-One computer has a frame made of anodized aluminum for better heat dispersion, in any case entrusted to a prominent cooling compartment, located in the rear tower: the latter, connected to the monitor through a support that allows rotation of the display by 15 ° to the right / left and to tilt it from -5 to 15 °, includes two turbofans which, cooperating with separate cooling channels for processor and graphics card, and with 5 heatpipes (4 of which 10 mm and 1 8 mm), allow the heat to flow upwards.
Frontally, the AiO G-One comes with a 31.5-inch IPS LCD panel resolved in 2K (i.e. 2560 × 1440 pixels), with 165 Hz refresh rate, 99% coverage on the sRGB color space, brightness and contrast. according to HDR400 certification, and support for G-Sync. At the top, there is a pop-up webcam, which emerges at the right moment, and which can be retracted with a slight pressure. On the audio side, there is the accompaniment of two 15W speakers, with the multisensory involvement also guaranteed by the RGB backlighting that can be customized via the iGame Center program (which also gives access to the 4 presets that balance performance and the intensity of thermal dissipation: from silent, to boost, passing through entertainment and performance).
In terms of connectivity, the rear, together with the power input, offers ports such as two USB 2.0, a USB 3.2 of 2nd gen Type-C, an HDMI 2.0 and a Display Port 1.4 (to place two other monitors side by side), an RJ45 for the 2.5 GbE LAN (if you want to reduce latency compared to the Wi-Fi 6E wireless connection): on one side, there are 3 buttons to adjust volume and brightness and on the other two USB for mouse and keyboard , as well as the audio outputs. The support base is actually a platform for Qi wireless charging (up to 15W).
Moving on to the heart of the G-One computer, COLORFUL has provided Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3060 mobile graphics card in all configurations, capable of supporting Ray Tracing and benefiting from DLSS 2.0 technology. The processors, Intel 12th generation, will include options i5, i7 (i7 12700H) and also i9 (i9-12900K, 14 cores with 20 threads), and will be able to count on a considerable profusion of memories. The dual-channel RAM, DDR4-3200, will reach up to 16 GB, but will be expandable (max 64 GB, with two twin banks): even for the NVMe SSD storage, up to 1 TB, the expandability is valid, since one free slot is expected (M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3 x4).
