Without too much fuss, DELL has also formalized the new Inspiron 14, which are a step below the Plus versions known for a few days: here are the specifications with the various configuration options.

A few days after the emergence of the Inspiron notebooks in the Plus version, the American brand DELL presented two new laptops (with fewer options in the US market than the German one) represented by the cheaper Inspiron 14 (5420) and Inspiron 14 (5425), starting at $ 899.
The DELL Inspiron 14 5420 (314 x 227.5 x 19 mm for 1.54 kg) declines its LCD screen from 14 “to 1920 x 1200 pixels with 250 nits (non touch) or 2240 x 1400 pixels with 300 nits (non touch) . The FullHD webcam has privacy shutter, two microphones, but does not support Windows Hello (in case you opt for Windows 11, with some markets also having the Ubuntu option). The keyboard, backlit, with options for resistance to splashes and for the fingerprint, hides underneath a processing compartment entrusted to the 12th gen Intel processors.
Going into detail, you can choose between the U series (Intel Core i3-1215U / i5-1235U / i7-1255U) and the P series (Intel Core i5-1240P / i7-1260P): the integrated GPU is an Intel Iris Xe or HD, while the dedicated one is an NVIDIA GeForce MX570.
For the memories, the DDR4-3200 RAM reaches 32 GB (through two banks of 16), whereas the PCIe NVMe SSD storage provides the cuts from 256, 512 GB or 1 TB: the battery can be 54 or 64 Wh but it is charged at 65 W. Among other configurations, Wi-Fi can be 5, 6 or 6E. On the subject of ports, you can find an HDMI 1.4, a microSD reader, a 3.5 mm combo jack, two USB 3.2 (one Gen 1 Type-A and one Gen 2 Type-C).
The Inspiron 14 5425 (314 x 227.5 x 19 mm for 1.54 kg, in the colors Platinum Silver and Pebble Green) has several points in common: the screen is the same, and the memory equipment is the same: the same goes for the batteries, the ports , the keyboard, and the fingerprint option. The operating system, however, is always Windows 11 and, as for processors, there are the AMD Barcelo APUs, as AMD Ryzen 5 5625U or Ryzen 7 5825U with integrated AMD Radeon 600M GPU and dedicated NVIDIA GeForce MX550: the webcam also has the 720p option, while Wi-Fi is only 5 or 6.
