Big brands are not always used to making global launches for their latest products. This is the case of HP which, in the past few hours, has launched a new notebook in China, the HP Zhan X 14, a local version of the already known EliteBook 845 G9, intended for professional use. already in pre-order at JD.com at a price of 5,899 yuan (826 euros) for the basic version, and 7,299 yuan (about 1,022 euros) for the top version.

The new laptop has a metal chassis, with a minimal but elegant design, with rounded shapes, and a fairly light weight, equal to 1.4 kg. In addition to this data, other factors contribute to confirming its portability: the 51 WHr battery, subjected to a 65 W AC charger, ensures good autonomy and, in addition, 4G / LTE connectivity is also available to free yourself from connecting. to a home network in order to always be online.

The display of the HP Zhan X 14 is a 14-inch LCD panel, resolved at 1920 x 1200 pixels, according to an aspect ratio of 16:10 which allows for more vertical space than an equivalent to 16: 9: the color sRGB gamut is covered at 100%, the brightness stands at the maximum 400 nits, and it is possible to hypothesize the presence of IPS technology for the viewing angles and a value of 60 Hz for the refresh rate. The webcam to be used, for example, for meetings via Zoom is 5 megapixel, in an array that also includes speakers edited by Bang & Olufsen, according to an old trend of collaboration of the American company.

Animated on the software side by Windows 11, the HP Zhan X 14 is powered by the AMD APUs of the Rembrandt family, in particular by 8-core and 16-thread options with 35W of basic TDP, distinguished by the Zen3 + architecture and by the production process with lithography at 6 nanometers, a choice between a Ryzen 7 PRO 6850HS and a Ryzen 9 Pro 6950HS, differentiated by the maximum clock speed (4.7 vs 4.9 GHz) but united by the use of the integrated Radeon 680M GPU with RDNA2 architecture. In terms of memories, the card supplied specifies that, via two special slots, it is possible to expand the RAM, DDR5, up to a maximum of 64 GB.

Due to the processors adopted, the HP Zhan X 14 uses Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6E, and supports both HDMI and USB 4.0 Type-C: on the software side, however, the usual optimizations are standard, also in terms of safety, of the North American manufacturer.
