From Infinix comes (also) the top range Note 12 VIP with a 120W charge

In addition to the standard model, always with AMOLED display, the new Infinix Note 12 VIP arrives on the market, with 120 Hz of RR, DCI-P3, 10-bit color depth, 108 megapixel main sensor with laser autofocus and 120W instant charge. .

A long time after the launch of the last Note 11, the Chinese brand Infinix of the Transsion Holdings group has announced the new specimens of the Note 12 series of smartphones, including a VIP model ($ 299) and a standard ($ 199), both animated. from Android 12 under the XOS 10.6 interface.

Starting from the top of the range, the Infinix Note 12 VIP (black or silver, 7.9 mm thick by 198 grams) has a resolute 6.7-inch AMOLED display in FullHD +, with photos for the 16 megapixel self-camera, color gamut DCI-P3 covered at 100%, 10-bit color depth, 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling. The back has a rectangular horizontal bumper in the center at the top for the sophisticated photographic compartment, with a main sensor of 108 (9-in-1 pixel binning for pixels brought to 1.92 micrometers, 1 / 1.67 “), an ultra-wide angle of 13 (f / 2.2), one for 2 megapixel depth (f / 2.4) and a laser autofocus system. On the audio side, there are two speakers with DTS and, for superior feedback, two linear vibrational motors along the X axis.

The thermal disposal section includes a vapor chamber and 9 layers of graphene, in order to keep the device cool, powered by an octacore processor, at 12 nanometers, the Helio G96 flanked by a Mali-G57 MC4 GPU: the RAM it reaches 8 GB, with another 5 GB that can be added virtually, to reach 13 total while the storage, not specified, is expandable via microSD.

Provided with the microUSB Type-C, 4G, the Infinix Note 12 VIP protects security with a fingerprint scanner placed on the side and is equipped with a 4,500 mAh battery capable of topping up from 0 to 100% in 17 minutes, but also to guarantee 6 hours of gaming and 5 of online video after 10 minutes of fast charge at 120W: this happens thanks to the mechanism with a double charging pump which, however, does not affect the health of the battery (preserved after 800 charge cycles ) thanks to 103 battery protection mechanisms, including 18 temperature sensors, distributed between charger and phone.

Switching to the standard Infinix 12 (black, white or blue, 164.5 x 76.8 x 7.8 mm) you always have a 6.7-inch AMOLED resolved in FullHD +, but at 60 Hz refresh rate and without color depth at 10-bit: the self-camera in the hole remains 16 megapixel but, on the back, the multi-camera changes, entrusted only to a 50 megapixel main sensor (f / 1.6) and to a 2 megapixel depth sensor, therefore without the laser autofocus . The sensory involvement section loses the vibrational motors but retains – in terms of audio – the two speakers with DTS.

The processing array is very similar to that of the VIP, always with the MediaTek Helio G96 processor, the ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, and again with 8 GB of RAM expandable to virtually 13: the storage here is from 256 GB, with expandability via microSD, while the apparatus for thermal dissipation relies on 10 layers of graphene (losing the vapor chamber). The fingerprint scanner remains on the side, in a technical framework that still includes 4G, and Type-C. The battery rises to 5,000 mAh which, however, another difference, charges much more slowly, at 33W.
