After various rumors and leaks also spread by Samsung itself, two new smartphones of the median M series were finally presented in India, represented by the new Galaxy M13 5G and a variant of the already known Galaxy M13 4G (therefore different from the known model in West since May).

The two new Galaxy M13 smartphones from Samsung just brought to their debut in the immense New Delhi market share several points in common, including the colors (Midnight Blue, Stardust Brown, Aqua Green), a fingerprint scanner placed on the side , in the power button, and the 3.5 mm audio mini-jack for wired earphones and headphones. The operating system is Android 12, under the Samsung One UI Core 4 interface.

Galaxy M13 5G

Starting from the completely new model, the Samsung Galaxy M13 5G (164.5 x 76.5 x 8.8 mm for 195 grams) has a front protected by a Gorilla Glass 3 glass, under which is revealed a 6.5-inch Infinity-V LCD display, of type IPS, with HD + resolution (1600 × 720 pixels), 400 nits peak as brightness and 90 Hz as refresh rate. The 5 megapixel self-camera has been placed in a delicate water drop notch (V), mirrored against a chin perhaps more evident than necessary: behind two rings, “loose” and not circumscribed by a bumper, they serve to integrate the dual camera sensors, from 50 (main) + 2 (depth) megapixels. The audio can count on support for Dolby Atmos.

To implement 5G connectivity, an octacore processor (2.2 GHz) with integrated ad hoc modem was chosen, with the preference falling on the Mediatek Dimensity 700 SoC, built at 7 nanometers and coordinated with a Mali-G57 MP2 GPU: the RAM and storage (expandable via microSD) are combined in 4 + 64 GB, at a price of 13,999 rupees (about 175 euros), and in 6 + 128 GB (with the RAM that can virtually grow up to another 6 GB, for a total of 12), at a price of 15,999 rupees (about 200 euros). The battery, from 5,000 mAh, charges quickly at 15W while, in terms of connectivity, there are also Dual SIM, 4G, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, Wi-Fi 5, and a microUSB Type- C.

Galaxy M13 4G

The renewed Galaxy M13 4G has a 6.6-inch FullHD + display of the IPS LCD type, with a peak brightness of 480 nits, 60 Hz and a Gorilla Glass 5 protective glass: the selfiecamera, in the drop notch, is 8 megapixel while , behind, the vertically aligned rings are three, as in the Western model, although the look of the totem changes, here without any raised bumper: the triple camera is composed of a main sensor of 50, an ultra-wide angle of 5 and one for the 2 megapixel depth.

Another difference compared to the “classic” M13 is in the battery, now increased to 6,000 mAh of capacity, with fast charge at 15W. The processing section focuses on the proprietary Exynos 850 octacore processor (2.0), made at 8 nanometers FinFET and paired with the Mali-G52 GPU: here too the RAM reaches a maximum of 6 GB, while the storage (expandable via microSD ) can reach a maximum of 128 GB: by combining the two memories, the 4 + 64 GB set-ups are obtained, sold for 11,999 rupees (about 15 euros), and from 6 + 128 GB, priced at 13,999 rupees (about 175 euros). The connections, net of the 5G missing here, are the same as the model above, with NFC, microUSB Type-C, Wi-Fi 5, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, and Dual SIM with 4G.
