With a surprise blow, given that the device is not yet present on the official website of the brand, Amazon has made official in Italy the new Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022 tablet from Samsung, with Android 12 on board and a different processor.

According to various sources and rumors, Samsung is ready to introduce a new mid-range tablet on the market, updating a model of a few years ago in the name of improved performance: confirmation of these intentions has just come thanks to Amazon Italy which, perhaps by mistake, it just published the pre-order page for the new Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022.
The new Korean tablet shares a lot with the 2020 model. The simple and elegant look is the same, and the dimensions are practically unchanged (244.5 x 154.3 x 7 mm) apart from the weight which, with 465 grams, is more lighter than that of its predecessor by just 2 grams. Frontally, Samsung has set up a 10.4-inch TFT LCD panel resolved at 2000 x 1200 pixels, and then in WUXGA +, according to an aspect ratio of 16:10. The screen, very suitable for combining two apps together, maintains support for the use of the proprietary stylus, the S-Pen included in the package and, along the short high side, offers the 5 megapixel selfiecamera.
The back of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022, in the Oxford Gray color, on the upper left shoulder reveals a small square just enough to include a single element which, without the accompaniment of an LED Flash, is the main photographic sensor, always from 8 megapixels. On the audio side, two stereo speakers are adopted, calibrated by the subsidiary AKG, and set up to reproduce the tracks encoded in the Dolby Atmos format.
A pleasant change, compared to the old model, is at the control rudders, where the old 10-core Exynos 9611 processor gives way to a more efficient Qualcomm school octacore, the Snapdragon 720G, assisted by 4 GB mnemonics. of RAM and 64 GB of storage, expandable via microSD. On the other hand, the already known 7,040 mAh battery, more than adequate for a connectivity segment including the Wi-Fi ac, GPS (A-GPS, Beidou, Glonass, Galileo), Bluetooth 5.0 and the 3.5 mm mini-jack.
Compared to the 2020 model, the new Galaxy Tab S6 Lite in 2022 edition abandons Android 10 to embrace, under the One UI 4.0 interface, Android 12 (with the consequence that the new model could also reach Android 14-15, against the old one which, if all goes well, could stop at 13). In terms of distribution, Amazon Italy has confirmed the availability of this device for May 23: from now on it is possible to pre-order it for 399 euros, with the promise of the lowest guaranteed price. At the moment it is not known, although the thing is probable, if and when, as well as at what price, any versions with 128 GB of storage and with 4G mobile connectivity will arrive.
