Without too much fuss, but in a timely manner in a season in which the elderly feel a strong sense of loneliness, the German brand Gigaset has announced an ad hoc senior phone, almost a telephone crossover, which combines the best of the feature phone world of a aimed at that of modern smartphones (eg the Gigaset GS5).
Gigaset GL7, this is the name of the newcomer (109 euros), comes in the Titanium Gray color with a flip phone form factor, that is, a clamshell: wide open it reveals an easy-to-read 2.8-inch TFT display, thanks to the menus that can be easily navigated by the large, backlit physical buttons located in the second half of the phone. The Gigaset GL7 device, with a strong volume, and a 2 megapixel camera, has 4 GB of storage (expandable by another 128 GB via microSD via the 3-slot slot where you can also place the nanoSIM for 4G), where you can store the your own music files, including MP3s, and a GPS module for Google Maps.
