We are talking about the project known as AI Opportunity Initiative, specifically designed to make AI accessible to all in the European context. The initiative includes funding of 25 million eurosuseful for supporting non-profit organizations and businesses to embrace new technological solutions.
In this sense, Google wants to privilege vulnerable and disadvantaged communities, providing above all training plansso that everyone can benefit from AI.
To reach as many people as possible Google has partnered with the Center for Public Impactthrough which it is reaching out to social enterprises and non-profit organizations for applications to provide resources and training.

The introduction of AI offers great opportunities but, at the same time, risks hitting various production sectors hard. Google is trying to intervene precisely in this context, to cushion the hard blow inflicted by technology on sectors already hit by the energy crisis and pandemic.
According to Adrian Brown of the Center for Public Impact, this new program will help bring more knowledge, expertise and trust to AI, ensuring that no one is left behind.
The operation, among the many initiatives included, also presents a new series of Google for Startups Growth Academiesready to arise throughout thearea EMEA (therefore Europe, the Middle East and Africa). These centers will aim to support startups engaged in the development of AI in various sectors ranging frominstruction at the IT security up to salute.
Matt Brittin, President of Google EMEA, expressed his satisfaction by stating: “We are committed to playing our part, working together with EU governments, civil society, academia and business to find the right way forward for this technology to arrive safely and for all.“.
