It’s no longer a mystery Google is doing its best to grow all its satellite platforms and applications. After seeing a great commitment on the smartphone level, the company has decided to push also with regards to its applications, one of which is Google Lens.
This visual search tool, now available as a standalone application, has been incorporated into the company’s Pixel phones, providing an additional opportunity. According to what is now reported, it is about to receive a major update. In fact, users will soon have the opportunity to save the images analyzed within the chronology. The function, loudly requested by many users, will therefore allow you to easily review the various images whenever you want. We are therefore in the presence of a feature much desired in the past.
Google updates Lens: now images will also be saved in history
Previously, when users used Google Lens to search for information about an image, the image itself was not saved to history. This obviously meant that it was necessary to take a photo outside the app, using the default camera and then analyze the subject to discover the desired information.
Until now, this very precious application had never provided the opportunity to remember in chronology the images associated with all the searches carried out. Now the service finally announces that users can enable image archiving which are associated with searches within your profile.
The function is disabled by default, but can be activated within the “Data and privacy” then going to the entry “Web and app activity“. Once this is done, you need to enable the “Include visual search history“.
Once the procedure is completed, each new search carried out with Google Lens can be traced by also carrying out the download of the images associated with the search itself. Within the next few weeks this news will be effective for everyone.
