Even in Malaysia the advances in Honor share continue, with a famous store that has also unveiled the Honor X7 mid-range smartphone model, highlighting – in the absence of the price – the compromises it has lent.
After the X8 came the X9. And after the latter, curiously Honor has not fielded an X10 but has presented, still in Malaysia (and without price), another economic middle-range smartphone, represented by the Honor X7, drawn up in the Titanium Silver and Ocean Blue colors. , with a strong aesthetic inspiration towards the Play 30 Plus.
Honor X7 has a chassis (167.59 x 77.19 x 8.62 mm, for 198 grams) which, frontally, places a U-shaped notch, for the selfiecamera, from 8 megapixel (f / 2.0), which takes little space away from the display: the latter , between frames that are evident but not excessive (apart from the chin), is substantiated in a 6.74 inch IPS LCD resolved in HD + (720 x 1600 pixels), with 260 PPI, 19.9: 9 aspect ratio, 84.8% of screen-to-body, 90 Hz refresh rate. The coverback of the device offers a quad camera with a double ring design.
The upper one offers a main sensor from 48 (f / 1.8, 8x digital zoom, video also FullHD), accompanied – in the lower one – by a sensor of 5 for panoramas via ultra-wide angle (f / 2.2), and by a pair of sensors 2 megapixel (f / 2.4), one of which for macro and one for depth. On the audio side, there is the 3.5 mm mini-jack for audio headphones.
At the helm, the Honor X7 sees the octacore Snapdragon 680 proposed by Qualcomm deployed together with the Adreno 610 graphics card in a set-up with 8 GB of RAM (expandable by another 2 via RAM Turbo) and 128 GB (expandable via microSD) of storage. Certainly there is no lack of energy to the device which, equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery, charges it quickly, at 22.5W, via microUSB Type-C, in a connectivity array that, although devoid of 5G, includes the Dual 4G SIM, GPS, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi ac / 5 and GPS (with Beidou, Glonass, Galileo positioning networks). Unfortunately, the NFC is missing, and the fingerprint scanner is located on the side, in the power button.
In conclusion, the software. Nothing Magic UI 5.0 or Android 12, with the manufacturer that has folded again on the Magic UI 4.2 interface hiding Android in version 11.
