Do we really want to split the Netflix subscription costs with a friend? Let’s see how to overcome the limitations imposed on accounts
Sharing your Netflix password is no longer enough to be able to spread the cost of your subscription with distant friends and relatives. Netflix imposes viewing limits only within your own family unitblocking access to users who do not belong to the same home network.
But with some simple tricks from computer experts we can continue sharing Netflix without limitationsmaking a VPN connection to the home (or rather to the network) authorized for viewing, sharing your subscription without slowdowns and without lock screens.

1) NordVPN Meshnet
The best way to continue sharing Netflix without limitations is by downloading the app NordVPN Meshnetavailable for free (without subscription) for Windows, Mac, Android and iPhone/iPad.
The procedure to follow is very precise and will allow you to effectively bypass the control systems used by Netflix: it will see the device as present on the family network, even if it is actually very far away (VPN remote connection).
After downloading the application on one of the devices present on the family network (we recommend a PC as a “server” for all connections) we open the app and log in with a account NordVPN by pressing the button Log in. The account is free and simple to create even without paying any subscription.
As soon as the NordVPN home screen opens, press the icon sideways Meshnetwe press the switch Meshnet present in the upper part of the window and wait for the function to be active.
Now that the function is active, press down on the tab External devices and we press on Connect external device. In the new screen, make sure to check only the item Authorize traffic routingenter the recipient’s email (who must also have NordVPN installed on their device) and press at the bottom Send invitation.
As soon as the recipient has accepted it will be routed via our local network, as if it were actually connected to our home modem. This means that will have our public IP address and, by connecting with Netflix credentials, you will appear as a member of the same family network even if you live kilometers away from the location of our apartment or house.
Meshnet uses NordVPN’s fast, encrypted connection to establish a stable connection, regardless of the distance of the connection. Obviously the user invited to the Meshnet network will use our Internet line to surf; However, we can turn off Meshnet or disconnect users invited to the network at any time.
2) VPN connection with the FRITZ!Box modem
A valid alternative to Meshnet involves using the VPN connection included in the modem FRITZ!Boxan expensive choice but one that pays off abundantly with the numerous additional functions provided by this modem.
To proceed, open a browser from any device connected to the family network and type the address http://fritz.box in the address bar and enter the password to access the modem configuration panel.
Once inside let’s take the route Internet -> Enables -> VPN (IPSec)we press on Add VPN connection and choose the most suitable connection mode between Configure VPN access for a FRITZ!Box user e Connect your local network to another FRITZ!Box network.
With the first method we can connect a single PC, a telephone or a single device to the modem (which will thus obtain our public IP address); with the second method we can connect an entire FRITZ!Box to ours, thus uniting the two networks as if they were one (even thousands of kilometers apart).

Conclusions
Using a dedicated VPN connection (very different from the VPN connection we use for anonymity or to get foreign IP addresses) we can “add” new remote users to the home network, who will thus be able to continue sharing Netflix without limitations. Obviously it is necessary that the subscription chosen for Netflix is compatible with simultaneous viewing from different devices.
