During a new event by Huawei, after the one for the Nova 10 of the past few hours, the Chinese brand presented several interesting accessories for the daily smart life, including its own smart location tag and a portable router for holidays and not alone.

Starting from the latter, the product, known as Huawei WiFi 3 Pro, proposed in the standard version (499 yuan or 71 euros) with an annual subscription (1,098 yuan, 157 euros), requires a telephone SIM, inserted which is in able to guarantee a dual band Wi-Fi connection, up to 876 Mbps in download, connecting a maximum of 32 devices. On the roof, the device reveals the status indicators where, on one side, in addition to the power button, it has the microUSB door for charging the 3,000 mAh battery, which promises 700 hours of autonomy in stand-by, or 12 hours of actual use.

The highlight of the event, however, was another, namely the Huawei Tag. Basically it is the rival of Apple’s AirTags, Tile and Samsung’s SmartTags: compared to most rivals, it does not have a discoid shape, but resembles the pick of a guitar, being a bit triangular, with the logo on one side and , on the back, a very minimal opaque white color.

Equipped with a CR2032 battery that guarantees up to 1 year of autonomy, without worrying about the weather being IP67 waterproof, the small bulky (5.6 mm thick for 6 grams of weight) Huawei Tag supports remote location based on Bluetooth, so as to connect to a nearby Huawei smartphone (using the Find network of smartphones animated by at least HarmonyOS 2.0), starting to ring, with 92 decibel beeps to be identified. Thanks to NFC it can be used to trace objects that have been forgotten behind, with pop-up reminders that remind you of having forgotten something on the smartphone (eg keys). From an anti-stalking perspective, there is also the sound alert that signals when you are wearing a Huawei Tag that is not your own.

According to what was communicated, the price of the Huawei Tag is (from 30 July) 99 yuan (14 euros), which goes up to 299 yuan (43 euros) for the kit with 4 units. If you want, for 69 yuan (10 euros) you can buy a leatherette keychain in which to insert the tag.
