The renewed MateBook D 14 2022 was also brought by Huawei to Europe, fielding the 12 generation Intel processors, but also several important software innovations, including the inter-device collaboration mode known as “Super Device”.

On the sidelines of the Berlin event with which it brought the new FreeBuds Pro 2 earphones to Europe, the Chinese brand Huawei has confirmed the arrival on the Old Continent, including Italy, of many other products, including some notebooks. In the latter segment, the manufacturer also revealed an intriguing update for its small but best-selling Huawei MateBook D 14 laptop, now in the 2022 edition.
The new MateBook D 14 2022 has a minimal frame, with measures of 322.5 x 214.8 x 15.9 mm: the weight is always 1.38 kg, both in the gray and silver finish. Visually, the laptop unveils a 14-inch LCD display, resolved in FullHD at 1080p, with an 84% screen-to-body, according to an aspect ratio of 16: 9, with a maximum brightness of 300 nits and a contrast ratio of 1,000: 1. Connected to the same via hinge, the camera body includes various ports on the sides, including 3.5 mm jack, HDMI to connect an external screen, USB Type-C, and USB Type-A (of these, however, not all are 3.2, since one responds to the 2.0 standard with consequent slowness in data / file transfer).
In terms of processing configurations, Huawei has provided two alternative arrangements: we start with the one that provides the 12-core and 16-thread processor of the 12th generation Intel, i5-1240P, with lithography at 10 nanometers, clock frequency from 1.2. at 4.4 GHz, and iGPU Intel Iris Xe Graphics G7 80EUs, which uses 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of SSD storage.
Wishing more, you can request the iteration driven by the processor, also of the 12th gen Intel, i7 1260P, with 12 cores and 16 threads, from 1.5 – 4.7 GHz of clock rate and with iGPU Intel Iris Xe Graphics G7 96EUs: in this case, the RAM is 16GB, but the SSD storage stops at 512GB. From the “brother” MateBook 14 2022 comes the battery, again from 56 Wh, which can be charged via a now compacted 65W Type-C power supply. The notable presence of recent Wi-Fi ax / 6 wireless connectivity completes the specifications communicated.
In terms of the price list, the prices of Huawei’s MateBook D 2022, expected for when the device will arrive on the market in August, are 849 euros for the model with i5 processor, and 1,099 for the one with the i7 chip.
