Instagram: bad news for the Creators, many rumors from the leakers

The famous photo-sharing platform of Instagram, once again at the center of functional gossip, has officially announced a novelty that impacts the monetization of Creators, already put to the test by the cut of the rewards for sharing the Reels.

The first Instagram novelty this weekend concerns advertisers directly and creators indirectly. Specifically, Meta’s photo-sharing platform is communicating to advertisers that they will no longer be able to use in-stream advertising in Instagram videos, even if the ads in the Reels, introduced globally in June 2021, remain available. creators are left with options such as badges during live shows, subscriptions, collaborations with branded content and, since now all users can tag products in their posts, their merchandising promotions.

Another not exactly positive news for creators comes directly from them. Last July, Instagram launched the Reels Play bonus program which promised to pay 1 billion dollars by 2022 to Creators who would publish content in the Reels format: specifically, the remuneration ranged, according to the thresholds to be reached in terms of views. , from 600 to 35 thousand dollars.

Apparently, however, the thresholds for reaching payments have been drastically increased, so much so that, to reach 35 thousand dollars, now it is no longer necessary to total 58 million, but 359 million views with the result that, in essence, for the Creators the fees for sharing the Reels dropped by 70%.

Moving on to the rumors obtained thanks to the investigations of the leaker Alessandro Paluzzi it emerged that, in the meantime, it continues to work on the possibility of replying to posts with musical stickers and the possibility of adding a limited number of links to the biography, Instagram also works on other things, starting from the chat theme “Everyday Earth” to celebrate World Earth Day (April 22). Not only that: Menlo Park is also preparing a safety notice that advises against using the app while driving and always being vigilant about what surrounds the user.

With regard to Live videos, Instagram is working on the possibility of exploring them, while in relation to Stories, it could become possible to like them simply with a double tap. Even the restylings will not be neglected, on the contrary: apparently, the Instagram developers are also dedicating themselves to redesigning the profile buttons.
