JBL, the US brand of the Harman Kardon group (in turn controlled by Samsung), fresh from the launch also in Italy of the JBL 4305 active loudspeakers, has announced for the Italian market a series of 4 new models of true wireless earphones, including the new Live Pro 2 and Tune Flex, together with the already seen (at CES 2022) Reflect Aero (149 euros in white, black, green, blue) and Quantum (149 euros, only in black).
Made in four colors (silver, blue, black, pink, the light (4.8 grams per unit) Live Pro 2 earphones (already on sale on Amazon, at the price of 149 euros) have the shape of a temple with oval rubber pads for the passive isolation: IPX5 waterproof, they still allow 6 microphones not only to ensure clear calls, but also for active noise cancellation, ANC. The latter enjoys the True Adaptive Noise Canceling function, which samples the noise 50 thousand times per second in making the neutralizing counter-frequency, and the Smart Ambient mode, to stay aware of what is happening around.
The interior houses the 11 mm drivers, with variations on the audio that can be implemented from the JBL Headphones app, which can also be used to customize the external touch controls, with which it is also possible to call up the voice assistant (Alexa or Assistant). Obviously, an important part is reserved for the modem for Bluetooth 5.2, which supports the AVRCP V1.6, A2DP V1.3, and HFP V1.7 profiles and which, above all, once the headphones are paired with the source (quickly with Google Fast Pair), allows you to switch automatically from one source to another, given the dual connect support to two devices at the same time.
The autonomy of the JBL Live Pro 2 earphones is 10 hours, in addition to the 30 hours made available by the case (48.4 grams), which can also be loaded in Wireless Qi: in not keeping the user away from their favorite music for too long. , fast charging will allow him to recover 4 hours of listening in 15 minutes of topping up.
The JBL Tune Flex earphones, arriving in August (in the colors white, transparent, blue, black, for 99.99 euros), are of the open format type with temple: basically they operate as plug-free, for those who find annoyance in the rubbers but , thanks to an internal fixing system, they allow the use of rubber tips, contained in the purchase package in 3 formats, open or insulating.
IPX4 waterproof against sweat and splashes of water, thanks to the 4 on-board microphones (two per unit), they support active noise cancellation, ANC, with attached Smart Ambient mode to choose how much of the surrounding world to leak. The controls are obviously touch, and the autonomy ranges from 8 hours, with the only units that do without the ANC, to the total 32 hours, to which the case contributes with its 24 hours.
