It will probably not be particularly known for its projectors, at least for the self-branded ones, yet Xiaomi has never neglected the segment in question, as demonstrated by the recent announcement of the new 1S 2022 Laser Projector, which goes to collect the legacy of the model dated 2020. .
The new 1S 2022 Laser Projector uses the ALPD laser projection technology, chosen for its ability to ensure cinematic images in terms of color and quality: the latter are resolved in FullHD (1080p), which is less than the 4K of the previous model, but surpassed by that. current in peak brightness (2,400 Ansi lumens vs 2,000). Thanks to the shooting ratio equal to 1.27: 1 it is possible to obtain images ranging from 60 to 150 inches: MEMC technology intervenes to fluidify the most animated scenes.
Compared to the previously used Amlogic T100, the new processor, a 1.90 GHz quadcore Cortex A55, brings a + 100% performance, allowing the decoding of signals in 4 and 8K, but not only.
The manufacturer, in fact, has defined the new 1S 2022 Projector just listed in its national store a completely intelligent projector, since it is able to perform the automatic correction of keystone distortion by itself and, in addition, it manages to automatically avoid obstacles. and to perform an autofocus. Still in the visual field, various modes are provided, including a gaming one, which lowers the latency to 40 ms.
On the audio side, the Laser Projector 1S 2022 includes two speakers sized at 1.75 inches 10W capable of supporting DTS-HD and Dolby Audio, with the integrated DSP that allows you to enjoy a 360 ° surround: in terms of connections with the sources, the HDMI 2.1 ports (with eARC), USB 3.0 and 2.0 are instead present. The management takes place via voice commands to the XiaoAi assistant, or via the Mijia app: the price, for now relating to the Chinese domestic market, is 5,999 yuan (about 890 euros).
