League of Legends: what happens to the Red Bull Solo Q players?

Listen to this article

Let’s dive into the past for just a few months, and go back to 2021 at the early stages of the final tournament of the Red Bull Solo Q Italy. 8 boys are about to clash and only one of them, the winner of the grand final, will represent Italy in the definitive international Red Bull Solo Q competition. The eSport players in question are: Counter, Crocomux, Dream Maker, FreemanGordon, Pese, Sandalo, Sloyr, Spasio6.

The final will be a clash between Adc, Counter’s Samira against Sandal’s Tristana. The latter will be the winner.

Today Sandalo is the CEO of the Esport Empire with whom he finished 5th at the PG Nationals last split (the Italian Serie A if we want to make a football comparison). In Solo Q, at the time of writing, he is the 15th strongest Italian player of the moment, 3rd best ADC in the nation.

Counter is definitely better known thanks also to its Twitch channel (among the most important as regards League Of Legends in Italy), it is Adc and captain of the Samsung Morning Stars who arrived last at the last PG Nats with an unfortunate 0-18. Just yesterday (May 30) there was the show-match against the Dsyre (Italian team that plays in the proving grounds, comparable to the Serie B of professional football) which saw the latter prevail twice, interrupting the series of victories of the SMS obtained during the Scrim. Counter to date, according to Solo Q, is the 26th strongest Italian player and the 6th best adc in the country.

Crocomux, someone will remember him at the time when he streamed on Twitch, has also made some collaboration with the well-known Italian streamer, Paolo Cannone, and also for participation in the old Moba Rog project, no longer active today. The Midlaner, however, is still active and his last experience dates back to the Slovenian team Diamant Esports with whom he concluded his contract in this March 2022. Croco is 17th (again for the moment, the ranking tends to vary in the lap of a couple of hours in general, sometimes even less) the strongest active Italian player and the 4th best midlaner in the nation.

Sloyr, mentioned briefly in the last article, where wrong information was listed, is unfortunately withdrawn from the competitive scene and no longer a member of Apocalypse Esport.

Pese finished first in the second qualifier of the Red Bull Solo Q 2022. He is currently the Toplaner for AfN Yellow and has several experiences including Moba Rog and an experience as a substitute toplaner in the Esport Empire between January and March 2022. He is currently the 8th toplaner of the nation and in 46th position in the ranking of the best Italian players in only Q.

Dream Maker passed as 1st in the first Qualifier of the Red Bull Solo Q 2022 and as Pese is in his second experience in the tournament. He is currently the 34th Italian player and 8th national MidLaner.

As for Spasio6, the concept that Red Bull Solo Q is an event that helps to show off and challenge people from whom it is possible to learn a few tricks must be passed on. So, in addition to the points of the Tormenta Circuit, there are many other reasons why everyone should give themselves a chance. Obviously, being strong in 1 v 1 and being among the best in Solo Q does not automatically mean being strong also in competitive: Jiizuke (for example), who is the most famous Italian player in the world, is only the 5th Italian midlaner in onlyQ.

Finally, those interested in registering will be able to find some more info on the competition and on how to register in a previous content.
