In the past few hours, the Chinese brand Lenovo has unveiled the new ThinkBook 13s laptop at home which, in aesthetic continuity with the Intel model, is now in the AMD Ryzen Edition version.
In addition to XMG, the Chinese Lenovo has also updated its notebook list, with the presentation, for now in favor of the domestic market, of the ThinkBook 13s notebook in AMD Ryzen Edition, but always under the software aegis of the Windows 11 operating system.
Equipped with a chassis (297 x 211 x 14.9 mm for 1.23 kg) aesthetically indistinguishable from the previous Intel based version, the new ThinkBook 13s Ryzen Edition includes the latest connectivity, not missing the USB Type-A, HDMI and USB 4.0 ports (but not Thunderbolt 4) Type-C (in this case, two), as well as an autonomy capable of covering a working day. The LCD screen, presumably IPS, has a diagonal of 13.3 inches, and an aspect ratio with a ratio of 16:10.
It can be chosen in the entry level resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, or in the top resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels (with contrast at 1500: 1), offering in both options 100% coverage of the SRGB color gamut and a brightness of 300 nits.
At the helms of command, there are the AMD Ryzen 6000 “Rembrandt” processors of the efficient (15W) U series, with Zen 3+ micro-architecture, chosen from the 12-thread Ryzen 5 6600U hexacore (from 2.9 to 4.5 GHz ) and the 16-thread Ryzen 7 6800U octacore (2.7 to 4.7 GHz maximum clock frequency). In the first case, the associated iGPU is a Radeon R660 while, in the second, still remaining in the Radeon 600 series with its RDNA 2 architecture, you can count on the more convincing Radeon R680 (with 12 core units sufficient to guarantee average quality, a 1080p, when playing Halo Infinite).
Moving on to the memories, the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s notebook, expected to also arrive in Europe at the latest in the autumn, mounts a RAM of the LPDDR5 6400 type, amounting to 16 GB, while for the storage, SSD M.2 with PCIe interface, you can get to a highlight of 1 TB. For now, the prices are not yet known, but rumors whisper that the version with the less powerful processor can be listed at 7,710 yuan, roughly 1,089 euros.
