Now part of the Microsoft empire since 2016, when it was bought for the hefty sum of 26.2 billion dollars, the professional social network LinkedIn has come a long way, trying to rejuvenate itself (even with GIFs) and, lately, opening up to audio interactions, through Audio Rooms and podcast shows. To these news, others have just been added, officially communicated by the social network of the great L.

The first news related to LinkedIn concerns a category, that of creators which, despite the launch of an ad hoc mode about a year ago (since then activated by 5.5 million users with a consequent growth of 30% of their respective followers), has not still disposed of the withdrawal of the Stories, short videos lasting 24 hours, removed as they had not had the success that was expected. In favor of the creators, the platform announced a pool of tools aimed at improving their in-platform presence: we will start with analysis tools to understand in more detail the performance of the various posts published, and get an idea of who is reading and interacting with these posts.

To encourage a strengthening of the presence of creators, other tools will then be made available, including the highlighting of the contents of these users on their profiles, to give them greater visibility. Building on the experience gained with the discontinued Stories, LinkedIn will improve the tool for creating short videos to be displayed near the profile photo, thanks to suggestions that will guide you step-by-step in the creation of these contents.

In November, LinkedIn added the ability to create their own newsletter for users who were in creator mode. In the past few hours, the social platform in question has communicated that it has activated the right to create newsletters in the app also on company pages, with the consequent birth of a new type of notifications, which will warn users who follow a given page about the updates of the relative newsletter. According to LinkedIn, which last year introduced a way to allow you to create long, professional articles, Articles for Pages, the new initiative will provide a “new way to create communities on topics that matter most to your customers with articles. recurring from your Page “.

Finally, to help develop new skills, and retrain in a phase of overcoming the pandemic, LinkedIn has launched the “LinkedIn Learning Pathfinder” (learning.linkedin.com/pathfinder): in this case, passing through a session of questions and answers, a learning path will be identified (up to the end of April over 100 will be offered free of charge) ad hoc for the user, depending on what he intends to obtain (a promotion, a new job, a balance between work and private life, etc), which helps him in his professional development.
