Marshall is a well-known brand dedicated to audio, born in the United Kingdom in 1962, with the aim of offering, through special amplifiers, a robust sound to rock guitarists of the town of Milton Keynes: making use of the expertise gained in six decades, Big M experts have announced the new Homeline III Bluetooth speaker series.

The new generation of Homeline speakers, formed by the Stanmore III, Acton III and Woburn III, does not change much in design compared to that of which it takes the baton: the Marshall lettering, the power switch and the control knob are always present. control, like on the famous amplifiers of the brand. Also on the outside, there are also the buttons to manage the highs and lows, the one for the Bluetooth association and the 3.5 mm input. A small but significant variation, however, is still present for the outdoors, which no longer uses PVC but, for 70%, vegan materials and recycled plastic.

Inside, in all three models of Marshall’s Homeline III, there is a tweeter angled towards the outside, in order to widen the soundstage and make it almost feel like a sound that chases the user around. the room. A plus in sound quality comes from the combination of tonal balance and dynamic volume control, in order to ensure that the sound is clear at any volume level. In order to ensure the fullest freedom of positioning, there is also the compensation of the position that neutralizes the effect that any nearby reflective surfaces could have on the sound.

In connecting with the music source, in addition to the aforementioned 3.5 mm jack, the three new Marshall Homeline III use Bluetooth 5.2, which ensures stability and long range: via the companion app, however, you can access the advanced settings, as well as update them regularly. the firmware via OTA (over the air), so that the latest functions released are always present.

Obviously, the question of what differentiates the three models of Homeline III is legitimate. The Woburn III is the most massive speaker, in terms of size and weight (7.45 kg): this allows it to also equip itself with an HDMI to connect to the TV. Equipped with a special night mode, aimed at keeping the dialogues intelligible even at low volume so as not to wake up neighbors or roommates, this device uses class D amplifiers: specifically, it places two 15W amplifiers on the tweeters, one 90W on the woofers, and two more 15 for the mids.

Dropping the power, the Stanmore III places two 15W amps on the tweeters and one 50W on the woofer. Closes the rear, that is the Acton III which retains the two 15W class D amplifiers for the tweeters, but scales the one for the woofer to 30. For the purchase, on the MarshallHeadphones portal, with the pre-orders started now but the availability fixed from 23 June, the prices are 279 dollars for the smallest model, 379 for the intermediate one, and 579 for the larger one.
