An answer was needed and it arrived: MediaTek did not stand idly by after the arrival of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and presented the Dimensity 9300.
What is currently the most powerful chip ever created by the company brings a significant increase in computing power.
The main specifications of the new MediaTek Dimensity 9300
- Extraordinary power: the new Dimensity 9300 It was built on TSMC’s third generation 4nm process, with 4 Arm Cortex-X4 cores and 4 Cortex A-720 cores. The first ones arrive to touch the 3,25 GHzwhile the latter arrive at 2.0 Ghz. This allows you to significantly maximize performance.
- Faster display speed: Chipset supports quality WQHD up to 180 Hz refresh rate and more 4K at 120 Hz. That means stunning visuals, with dual-display support for foldable products.
- Perfect 5G connectivity: the presence of the 5G modem R16 Supports 4CC-CA Sub-6GHz and 8CC-CA mmWave technology UltraSave 3.0+ by MediaTek. This ensures better connectivity performance and also greater energy efficiency.
- Fast memory: The Dimensity 9300 supports LPDDR5T memory at 9600Mbps, currently the fastest speed available.
The new MediaTek processor is also able to best combine a low-power AI ISP and always-on HDR in 4K at 60 fps. There is also support for the cinematic mode in 4K at 30 fps with real-time bokeh tracking.
For those who were waiting for nothing but confirmation, the company was quick to declare that the Dimensity 9300 will support the new format Ultra HDR on Android 14. Also support for Wi-Fi 7 will not be missing, thus guaranteeing speeds capable of reaching 6.5 Gbps.
In terms of graphics, the processor packs Arm’s latest flagship GPU, namely the Immortal-G720. Performance will increase by 46% compared to the previous chip.
It is highly probable that the first smartphones to show off the new MediaTek processor will be the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro starting from November 13th.
