A few months after the launch of the model dedicated to arterial health, the Chinese brand Mobvoi has announced a new smartwatch, the TicWatch GTW eSIM, which allows you to do without your smartphone for a wide range of activities.
The new Asian wearable smart has an elegant circular frame that is comfortable to wear for its dimensions (11.45 mm thick for 38.5 g of weight), which can also be used outdoors thanks to the waterproofness as per IP68 standard and the glass resistant to scratches and wear: i 22mm straps are made of textured silicone. Distinguished by a circular 1.39-inch OLED retina display, it uses the eSIM to allow, via microphone and loudspeaker, to receive and make phone calls from the wrist: the cloud messaging function, on the other hand, allows you to do without the telephone even when messaging via some well-known platforms in the sector (eg WeChat, QQ).
Equipped to host a large music library on the wrist, the TicWatch GTW eSIM by Mobvoi is able to “synchronize the cloud playlists” of NetEase and, via Bluetooth, still receives notifications from your phone: still in smart altitude, the wearable boasts ( via NFC) the ability to manage payments on (Chinese) means of transport.
There is no shortage of functions related to well-being, such as tracking heart rate, sleep, and blood oxygen saturation. Benefiting from three satellite positioning systems, it ensures excellent metrics for over 100 monitored sports activities (e.g. sailing, rock climbing, cycling, walking, running, swimming).
To coordinate everything, a double chip system intervenes, which puts to work the STM32 processor with ARM Cortex-M4 core, and the ASR3603S processor, with a single 832 MHz ARM Cortex R5 core: the battery, from 595 mAh, promises 7 days of autonomy in smart mode, which extends to 30 days by entering the long-lasting mode. For the price, the presale of the TicWatch GTW eSIM is set at 999 yuan. about 140 euros.
