Now from the very beginning, the cheapest way to succeed in using Netflix ad-free is to choose the basic subscription plan. The latter, which today costs 12,99 euro per month, allows access to the entire catalog of the streaming platform, without having to endure the sudden arrival of a random advertisement.
The maximum quality allowed is in HD, all acceptable to the extent possible. A cheaper option did come though when Netflix chose to roll out another standard plan, this time with ads. The monthly cost has been significantly reduced within this variant, allowing two people to watch at the same time. In addition, the quality has also increased with the Full HD a 1080p.
This plan, called overseas Netflix Basic, costs in Europe only 5,49 euro per month. There would have been a few days ago changes that would affect the basic plan, at least for the United States and the United Kingdom.
Netflix abandons the Basic plan without advertising, USA and UK can no longer use it
First in the United States and then in the United Kingdom, Netflix would have removed the Basic solution from the list of available subscription plans. The plan that allows you to have everything at the absolute lowest price without advertising is no longer available.
The good news is that the Basic plan with ads has kept the same price. However, it could only be a first period, after which Netflix will decide to increase this cost as well.
To clarify, the eliminated plan is the one that only costs $9.99. At the moment all subscribers will be able to use it until cancelled, while for new subscribers it will not be possible to subscribe to it. It may only be a matter of time before the company decides to roll out this change to the entire European Union.
Netflix’s strategy therefore continues to be distorted, despite the fact that users are expressing their discontent.
