Just under two months after the release of Windows 11 23H2, the second big one feature update for the latest Microsoft operating system, the Redmond company publishes another version. It’s about the new ISO Windows 11 23H2 containing fixes for all bugs that have emerged since the release of the package at the end of October 2023, up to today.
By following the instructions to download Windows 11 ISO or the image of the installation media of the operating system, pointing the browser to the official Microsoft Download page for Windows 11, you are always faced with the message “Current version: Windows 11 2023 Update, Version 23H2“. Actually, by clicking on Windows 11 (multi-edition ISO) then on the button Download (section “Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO) Download“), a file with the name Win11_23H2_Europen_x64v2.iso.
The presence of the suffix “v2” is a clear indication that it is a new Windows 11 23H2 ISO, updated – in this case – to 19 December 2023.
By following the instructions in the previously mentioned article, it is therefore possible create support installation of updated Windows 11, which does not suffer from the problems that have emerged in recent weeks. Among the various bugs fixed, Microsoft guarantees for example that theVoice assistant (Narrator), screen reader, works perfectly after installing Windows 11 from scratch. How to download the new updated Windows 11 23H2 ISO
The new updated Windows 11 23H2 ISO can be used as a basis to create bootable media containing all the fixes distributed so far by Microsoft, therefore starting from the file Win11_23H2_Europen_x64v2.iso. However, it is possible to use the same one ISO image to perform an in-place installation or to update Windows 11 to the 23H2 release starting from a previous version (of Windows 10 or Windows 11). Or for reinstallare Windows 11 23H2 on a system that already uses the same one feature update: in this way it is possible to resolve any problems and restore the functioning of the machine, without losing either personal data or settings or even installed applications.
The good thing is that even the author of the popular and appreciated utility Rufus has already updated it script per il download of Windows ISO files. By downloading the application, even in the portable version, by clicking on the arrow to the right of SELECT therefore choosing DOWNLOADyou can start one routine which – in the case of Windows 11 – offers the download of the new Windows 11 23H2 ISO: in the drop-down menu Release appears in fact “23H2 v2 (Build 22631.2861 – 2023.12)“.
The important aspect is that Rufus allows you to intervene directly on the ISO image setup opening up the possibility of installing Windows 11 on non-compatible PCs. However, in the same article we have presented all the possible modifications to achieve the same result. Some are objectively more creative, but no less simple to implement. And they avoid using third-party tools.
