Unihertz, a Chinese brand specializing in original smartphones, including Lilliputians, has returned to dealing with phones with physical keyboards and, just when the end of the project that aimed to bring a Blackberry back into the field, has announced, with the start of crowdfunding on Kickstarter (starting at around 217 euros), the Unihertz Titan Slim smartphone.

Inspired by the Canadian blackberry’s Key 2, the new keyboard phone has a black frame (146.85 x 67.6 x 12.75 mm for 204 grams), slimmer and longer, for a better grip, even if the keyboard physics, QWERTY, present, is the same arrangement of the Titan Pocket, in order to reduce the learning curve of the same. If desired, the user can customize each physical button, as well as the red side button, to call up favorite functions or apps. Always the keyboard, with backlighting that can be activated when you type, has a space at the top for the scanner dedicated to fingerprints and can see the space bar used to scroll the apps (most of which are natively compatible without activating the mini mode) or pages web.

The Unihertz Titan Slim smartphone screen is rectangular, 4.2-inch, resolute at 768 x 1280 pixels, with a 3: 2 panoramic aspect. The front camera reaches 8 megapixels (fixed focus, with face unlock) while, behind, a pill at the top left houses both the LED flash and the main 48 megapixel camera (Samsung ISOCELL GM1), with autofocus, horizontally.

Also equipped with an infrared emitter on the short side up for the remote control function, the Unihertz Titan Slim is powered by the octacore processor (2.1 GHz) Mediatek Helio P70, with Arm Mali-G72 MP3 GPU: the RAM, of the DDR4 type, reaches 6 GB, while the storage, UFS 2.1, is 256 GB, but can be expanded via microSD.

Inside the non-waterproof chassis, the Unihertz Titan Slim hides a 4,100 mAh battery, which can be charged at 10W via microUSB Type-C: connectivity, on the other hand, includes dual band Wi-Fi ac (hotspot, direct), Bluetooth 4.1, Dual SIM 4G with global frequencies, GPS (Beidou, Glonass), NFC for contactless payments, but not the 3.5 mm mini-jack, curiously present in the microscopic Jelly 2. The system closes the general picture operating, Android 11.
