After a long wait, the latest Chinese A1 Pro mini notebook, animated with 11th generation Intel processors, refreshed by an active dissipation, conceived by the Chinese brand One Netbook, begins to be seen online, for sale.
Over the years, the Chinese brand One Netbook has launched several really ultra-compact notebooks, just think of the 2020 OneGX1. To those already in the price list, another one has just been added, the A1 Pro in the 2022 version (from 1.064 , 43 euros on Aliexpress).
The new netbook, slightly revised compared to the model of 2 years earlier, retains a frame sized at 173 x 136 x 19 mm, with 550 grams of weight: always borrowed from the old model, the 7-inch IPS LCD display resolved at 1.9200 x returns. 1,200 pixels (323 PPI) according to an aspect ratio at 16:10 with touch support (10 touches, 2,048 pressure levels for the capacitive pen) and a hinge that allows it to rotate 180 ° and tilt 360 °, a fingerprint scanner inserted in the power button and a large 6,000 mAh battery (Power Delivery, adaptive charge at 5, 9 and 12V).
Compared to the original M3 processor, this time the 11th gen Intel Tiger Lake processors enter the field, a choice between the Core i5-1130G7 4 hours, 8 threads, 4.0 GHz in Turbo Boost) and the Core i7-1160G7 (4 cores, 8 threads, 4.4 GHz maximum) resulting in new options in terms of integrated GPUs, represented by the Intel Iris Xe at 80 or 96 execution units.
The RAM, LPDDR4X, can be 8 or 16 GB, while the PCIe SSD storage will be 256 GB in the i5 version with 8 GB of RAM, and from 512 GB in the two versions with 16 GB of RAM, one of which with i5 and one with i7. An active dissipation system, with intelligent heat sensors and a small 5,800 rpm fan, operates to keep the hot spirits in check. Still under the backlit keyboard with 1.5 mm spaced keys, inside the CNC-machined metal chassis, another novelty is the presence of a renewed module for wireless connectivity, now represented by Wi-Fi 6-ax and Bluetooth. 5.0 (vs previous Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 5.0).
On the sides of the machine body, the One Netbook A1 Pro animated by Windows 11 includes an audio port, an RS232 serial, an RJ45 for the Ethernet, a micro HMDI, two USB 3.0, the slot for the microSD, and – now – a Type-C 4.0 for Thunderbolt 4, useful if you want to connect an eGPU.
