Not much time has passed since the official launch of OnePlus Open, the foldable smartphone from the Asian brand ready to shake up the foldable market. Yet, the same company could have other surprises in store for the public. In fact, in the last few hours, on Weibo the renowned tipster Digital Chat Station has shared some details regarding an alleged person “historic” smartphone display produced by OPPO and OnePlus. What specifications will it have?
OnePlus and OPPO want to amaze everyone with a new display
According to what was shared by DCS, the screen in question could surprise everyone: produced by BOE, it should arrive on a new mobile device from the two Chinese brands, offering 2K resolution (1440p) and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. For comparison, know that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra reaches 1,750 nits, while the Google Pixel 8 Pro offers 2,400. OnePlus Open, on the contrary, reaches a maximum of 2,800 nits on both screens.
In short, for OnePlus and OPPO this is an easy bet to beat, but the rest of the smartphone’s specifications will remain to be seen. At the moment we are talking about one 6.7 inch AMOLED screen accompanied by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. However, if the promise is that of a gold medal panel, eyes will rightly be focused mainly on this component.
Expectations are now high and the prediction of some fans and tipsters is that it will be the future panel supplied with OnePlus 12, theoretically arriving on the market in January 2024. Will this be the case? We’ll see.
