OnePlus presents the 10R and Nord CE 2 Lite smartphones and the Buds Nord earphones

During an event organized in India, the local division of OnePlus brought to the stage several new products, including the new low cost smartphone OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite, the “revived” OnePlus 10R and also the Buds Nord earphones already seen in China.

Last week, OnePlus had the opportunity to launch a rebrand of its cousin Realme GT Neo 3, the OnePlus Ace, but confined to China: in the past few hours, in India, the same company presented what could seem the global version, the OnePlus 10R, in addition to the inexpensive OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite smartphone, and the OnePlus Nord Buds wireless earphones.

Frontally, the OnePlus Nord 10R (163.3 x 75.5 x 8.2 mm, in Black and Forest Green colors) shows a 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED display resolved in FullHD + with 120 Hz refresh rate, 720 Hz touch sampling, support for HDR10 + , 950 peak nits, aspect ratio at 20.1: 9, protection via Gorilla Glass 5, integrated fingerprint scanner, and hole in the top center for the 16 megapixel self-camera. The back offers a double finish, “LDI”, smooth on the right and in the other half with a striped texture that, at the top, culminates with the bumper for the triple camera, 50 megapixel (main, IMX766, optical stabilization, f / 1.9), 8 (119.7 ° ultra-wide angle, f / 2.2), 2 (macro, f / 2.4). On the audio side, there are two stereo speakers.

To command it is the octacore processor (2.85 GHz) MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX made by TSMC at 5 nanometers and coupled with the Mali-G610 GPU, able to take advantage of the 8 or 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM and the storage (not expandable) UFS 3.1 128 or 256 GB. The energy section includes a 5,000 mAh battery with fast charge at 80W (from 1 to 100% in 32 min), or a 4,500 mAh battery with fast charge (from 0 to 100% in 17 min) Super VOOC Endurance Edition (the battery maintains 80% charge after 1,600 cycles, or more or less up to 4 years) from 150W (with 160W charger in the package). Taking into account the memories and the 150W option, the OnePlus 10R costs 38,999 rupees (about 484 euros) with 8 + 128 GB, 42,999 rupees (about 533 euros) with 12 + 256 GB, or 43,999 rupees (about 546 euros) with 12 + 256 GB and fast charging at 150W.

Connectivity includes Dual SIM, 4 and 5G, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, Type-C while, in software share, with 4 years of security update and 3 of major update, OxygenOS 12.1 above Android 12.

The low cost OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite (164.3 x 75.6 x 8.5 mm, for 195 grams) is inspired by its cousin Realme 9 Pro. Here the hole for the 16 megapixel selfiecamera (Sony IMX471, f / 2.0) is placed at the top left of the display which is a 6.59 ″ IPS LCD panel, resolved in Full HD + according to an aspect ratio of 20: 9, with 120 Hz refresh rate, 240 Hz touch sampling: as a consequence, the fingerprint scanner is placed to the side. The bumper on the back offers, in a triangle shape, the triple camera sensors, from 64 (main, f / 1.7), 2 (depth, f / 2.4), 2 (macro at 4 cm, f / 2.4) megapixels.

Mounted with a 5,000 battery that charges 50% in 30 minutes thanks to a 33W fast charge, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite uses the octacore processor (2.2 GHz) Snapdragon 695 with the Adreno GPU, made at 6 nanometers from Qualcomm, and able to use 6 or 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128 or 256 GB UFS 2.2 storage, in combinations of 6 + 128 GB (about 248 euros) and 8 + 256 GB (roughly 273 euros). The device includes as an array of connectivity the dual SIM with also 5G, dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS (A-GPS, Beidou, Galileo, Glonass, QZSS), microUSB Type-C and 3.5 mm mini-jack. The Android 12 operating system under the OxygenOS 12 will be updated twice, with a 3-year security update.

The waterproof (IP55) OnePlus Buds Nord earphones, priced at 2,799 rupees (about 35 euros), are inspired by the OnePlus Buds Pro model from which they borrow the non-conductive vacuum metallization process that gives them a metallic appearance, in the Black Slate colors ( 27.76 × 20.72 × 23.49 mm for 4.77 grams) and White Marble (27.76 × 20.72 × 23.49 mm, for 4.82 grams per unit). They house titanium, 12.4mm drivers with 98 decibels of sensitivity and a frequency response of 20-20,000Hz for powerful bass and crisp highs. Capable of supporting Dolby Atmos surround, they are fitted with 4 microphones, two on each side, with design to cope with the rustle of the wind and algorithms to help them in reducing noise when the user speaks. Along the flat arm, they support the touch for starting pause, calls and the voice assistant while, in terms of pairing, they take advantage of the OnePlus Fast Pair for phones of the same brand and benefit from the connection to the smartphone via Bluetooth 5.2 (with AAC codec). On the autonomy side, the OnePlus Buds Nord (41 mAh) allow 7 hours of operation, which reach 30 with the energy reserve (480 mAh) case (50.33 grams in black, 47.23 in white), being able to add 5 hours after just 10 minutes of quick charge.
