For example, you can set up a password protection on the file so that only those who know the correct keyword can read the contents, fill out the forms, add comments or track changes.

The user who drafts the document can decide in a granular and punctual way which actions to allow and which to deny: just click on the menu Protection, Protect document.

Mathematical formulas with Unicode and LaTeX syntax

The text editor integrated in ONLYOFFICE Docs gets richer and is now able to support the insertion and management of math formulaseven the most complex ones.

The application now supports Unicode and LaTeX syntaxes giving the user the ability to enter equations and mathematical calculations effortlessly.

Spreadsheets: the Watch Window to check formulas and results

ONLYOFFICE Docs developers have significantly improved the behavior of the spreadsheet of the suite. We know how complicated it is to work with large spreadsheets: understanding which cells have been used in the various formulas is complex and it is equally difficult to carry out checks on the various inserted in the document and on the results of the calculations.

The new Watch Window of ONLYOFFICE Docs can be found in the menu Formula and allows you to inspect, verify and confirm the calculations made by each formula as well as the results produced in the spreadsheet. In this way, by consulting the content of the Watch Windowthere is no more need to get lost in infinite scrolling and wasting time in constant transitions between different parts of the spreadsheet.

13 have been added to ONLYOFFICE Docs new formulas among which TEXTBEFORE, AFTER TEXT, TEXTSPLIT, VSTACK, HSTACK, TOROW, TOCOL, WRAPROWS e WRAPCOLS, CHOOSEROWS, CHOOSECOLS, TAKE e DROP.

Among other innovations we mention the possibility of import data from XML files and to add links between different spreadsheets using a simple “copy and paste” operation.

Paste special in presentations

When working with a presentation and going to paste a new element, the object you add often doesn’t integrate properly with the rest of the content. ONLYOFFICE Docs handles these situations with the great feature Paste special.

ONLYOFFICE Docs 7.3 brings le keyboard shortcuts to call the function Paste special and quickly insert a new slide to the presentation in progress. With Paste special you can use the target presentation theme, keep the formatting or paste as image.

To access the new function of Paste special just hold down the key CTRL o Command on the keyboard then press the additional keys indicated by ONLYOFFICE Docs.

To make the creation procedure of each presentation more intuitive, ONLYOFFICE 7.3 offers a series of settings related to guides and grids in the menu View as well as in the context menu of each individual slide.

To make the ONLYOFFICE Docs user experience even more satisfying, the developers of the popular office suite have made some improvements to the graphical interface by adding an equation bar, a button that allows you to access the statistical data of the document within the status bar, a series of default settings for entering textbox horizontally and vertically, the ability to show or hide the left and right panels in the tab View.
