Although the eighth generation of Reno smartphones has been in circulation for a month or so, in the past few hours the Chinese brand Oppo (BBK Electronics) has announced a new model of the old series, the Reno 7A, which collects the legacy of the Oppo Reno 5 A from last year.

Oppo Reno 7A has the classic ingot design of the latest iPhones, with flat edges, given to a chassis (159.7 x 73.4 x 7.6 mm by 175 mm) waterproof according to the IP68 degree, drawn up in the colors Dream Blue and Starry Black. The front, perforated at the top left, gives 89.4% screen-to-body to the 6.4-inch AMOLED display, resolute in FullHD + (2,400 x 1,080 pixels), with a still evident chin, credited with 90% refresh rate , 180% touch sampling, equipped with a fingerprint scanner underneath, provided with Natural (99.9% sRGB and 73.6% DCI-P3) and Brilliant (136% sRGB, 100% DCI-P3) color profiles.

The self-camera of the Oppo Reno 7A reaches 16 megapixels (f / 2.4) and supports face recognition. Behind, a rectangular bumper aligns the triple camera holes in a triangle to the right, with a main sensor of 48 megapixel (f / 1.7), one ultra-wide angle (120 °) of 8 (f / 2.4) megapixel, and one for depth, 2 megapixel (f / 2.4).

The performance of the Oppo Reno 7A is fielded by a 6-nanometer processor from Qualcomm (which also supplied the X51 modem for the 5G Sub-6 / mmWave): it is the octacore (2.2 GHz) Snapdragon 695 with GPU Adreno 619, able to take advantage of 6 GB of RAM (LPDDR4x) and 128 GB of storage (UFS 2.2), expandable by 1 TB further via microSD. Directly depending on the thinking heart of the device, there is also the connective array, represented here by GPS, NFC for payments, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.1, 3.5 mm mini-jack for headphones or earphones, and from the microUSB 2.0 Type-C, which also takes care of charging quickly, at 18W, the battery, sized at 4,500 mAh.

Out-of-the-box with the Color OS 12 interface, the Oppo Reno 7A is unfortunately animated – below it – by the Android operating system in the 11 release: it can already be bought in the market object of the presentation, the Japanese one. , at a price of 44,800 yen (about 321 euros).
