Almost always, when it comes to smartphones, the question that arises spontaneously is that relating to autonomy. Oukitel, a Chinese brand versed in battery and rugged phones, has combined the two worlds in question to present the new Oukitel WP19, which comes between the WP20 and the WP18.

Animated by Android 12 with related services, the Oukitel WP19 has the classic IP68 and IP69K waterproofing certifications and has passed the MIL-STD-810G military resistance tests, can be used up to 1.5 meters deep in water and withstands shocks, thanks to the reinforced hub corners and the rear structure, pyramid-shaped with the vertex cut. The front protects with a thin anti-fingerprint and anti-bubble tempered glass, the display, a 6.78-inch IPS LCD, resolved in FullHD + (2,400 x 1,080 pixels), with 90 Hz as a refresh rate.

The high frame houses a 16 megapixel self-camera: the fingerprint scanner is placed on the side while, behind, a central hexagonal shield offers a porthole, with a triple camera, formed by a 64 megapixel main sensor, a Sony Night Vision 20 megapixel camera with infrared LEDs at its side, and a 2 megapixel macro sensor.

Leading the Oukitel WP19 is the octacore processor (2.05 GHz, thanks to the two Cortex-A76 performance cores) MediaTek Helio G95, made in mid-2020, associated with a Mali-G76 graphics card: the RAM, from 8 GB, makes couple in the only mnemonic set-up conceived with 256 Gb of non-expandable storage. In terms of connectivity, the microUSB Type-C, Dual SIM, 4G with 20 band, Wi-Fi, NFC for payments, GPS and Bluetooth 5.0 stand out.

The culmination of the Oukitel WP19 is formed by the battery: the latter, enabled for reverse charging to act as a powerbank to other devices, amounts to 21,000 mAh and, with the 27W fast charge, is charged in 4 hours but, later, offers just over 3 months of stand-by (94 days, 2,252 hours), or a week of average use, which can be explained in 5 days of phone calls (for 122 hours), 5 days of music playback (123 hours), one day and a half of video playback (36 hours). The price of the Oukitel WP19, on Aliexpress, is 703.37 euros, with a discount for the launch promo of 40% on the normal price (1,172.29).
