The Poco M4 5G has a waterproof polycarbonate body according to the IP52 degree: the fingerprint scanner is located on the side, and coincides with the power button, in order to be immediately operational. The choice in question, however, also betrays the fact that the screen, sized at 6.58 inches, expected in FullHD + with 90 Hz refresh rate and 240 Hz touch sampling, is an IPS LCD panel.

The drop notch (a sort of V) placed at the top of the A side houses the 8 megapixel self-camera, also for video calls. The rear features a bumper that occupies almost the entire width of the frame, with the sensors of the multi-camera, dual, placed on the left, with the LED flash that constitutes their extreme vertex. In this case, the Poco M4 5G uses a dual rear camera with a 50 megapixel main sensor and a 2 megapixel secondary sensor, for depth.

An honest 8-core processor (2.2 GHz), as per Mediatek forecasts, drives the Poco M4 5G in the guise of the Dimensity 700 SoC, equipped with the Mali-G57 MC2 graphics card: the RAM, of the LPDDR4x type, can be virtually expanded by 2 GB (Turbo RAM), while the storage, UFS 2.2, gains expandability up to another 512 GB via microSD. Based on the manufacturer’s choices, the two memories give rise to the 4 + 64 and 6 + 128 GB combinations, respectively sold for 12,999 rupees (about 161 euros) and 14,999 rupees (roughly 186 euros).

The Poco M4 5G’s battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh, and can be charged quickly, at 18W, via the microUSB Type-C port. Equipped with connectivity such as Dual SIM, 4 and 5G, GPS, Wi-Fi ac, and Bluetooth 5.1, the device is animated by Android 12 under the proprietary MIUI 13 interface.
