Moving from resistance to security, the laptop puts in place all the requirements to deserve Microsoft’s Secured-Core certification, being equipped with a proprietary bios, facial authentication on the webcam (IR with Windows Hello), the shutter for the same , the TPM 2.0 cryptographic chip, the fingerprint scanner and the optional smart card reader.

On the sides of the perimeter, several USB 3.2 Type-A ports stand out, the power input that leaves both Thunderbolt 4 (via Type-C) usable, an HDMI 2.0, an RJ45 for Gigabit Ethernet, a jack from 3.5 mm, and a microSD card reader: on the connectivity side, Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi ax / 6E are stationed (thanks to the Intel AX211 modem with 2 × 2 antennas).

Suitable for videoconferencing work, the Dynabook Portégé X40-K1, implemented with Windows 11 Pro, together with the 14-inch IPS display with anti-glare treatment, sports an AI audio system with intelligent background noise reduction, and AI based devices as well. on the webcam, capable of autonomously managing framing, light correction, and smart darkening of the background of its environment (operated on the hardware side and, therefore, independent of the webcam app that will be used). Finally, the 53 W battery is designed to cover the entire working day.
