Waiting for new news regarding the new chips dedicated to top-of-the-range smartphones, Qualcomm revealed something new. In fact, the company has formalized the arrival of its new chipset Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 which will be used by businesses on their entry-level mobile devices.
There are several improvements introduced with this new SoC which in fact surprises the experts. We start with a clear improvement as regards the efficiency, with consumption that will actually be reduced compared to what was seen with the previous processors. All will go in favor of battery lifea fundamental aspect for those who choose this band.
Also there recharge will be optimized, as well as the connectivity that will allow for higher performance speeds. Last but not least, the performance increase that was possible due to the CPU speed.
Mid-range and low-end smartphones level up with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2
Speaking of the CPU, the new Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 adopts the one at home, the Kryowhich manages to develop a speed equal to 2.2 GHz peak.
The characteristics are such as to allow even 50% autonomy in just 15 minutes of recharging. This new platform best supports the latest generation displays with resolution in Full HD+ e refresh rate a 120 fps.
The Snpadragon 4 Gen 2 is also very useful in the management phase of some features, as in the case of auto focus which becomes faster, of the electronic stabilizationof the reduction of blur and the reduction of noise.
Qualcomm’s main purpose was also to look to the future: the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 will in fact be able to support artificial intelligence. Lighting management, as well as background noise reduction, will be two of the aspects involved.
Network speed is also guaranteed thanks to full support for the standard 5G. The integration of the chip into smartphones will take place by the end of 2023.
