Without too much fuss, Vivitek, via Audiogamma distributor, gave a worthy successor to the model of now 5 years ago, bringing to Italy, the next Qumi Q9 smart projector, with LED projection, FullHD images from 1,500 Ansi Lumen, and integrated audio.
After what was seen in 2019, the Dutch brand Vivitek returns to be talked about with a new smart projector, the Qumi Q9, brought to Italy by the famous distributor Audiogamma who, for the occasion, listed it at a price of 1,139 euros.
The Vivitek Qumi Q9 has a compact chassis, 240 x 222 x 59 mm for 1.49 kg, which can be lifted upwards by intervening on the extendable support under its back: to confirm its versatility, in addition to the presence of a system of automatic focus, in the event of an imperfect positioning in axis with the projection surface, the correction of visual distortion via vertical keystone (with excursus +/- 30%).
Basically, the Vivitek Qumi Q9 projector exploits the projection technology offered by a single 0.33-inch DLP chip, which interacts with an LED light source, guaranteed for 20 thousand hours, capable of projecting bright images (from 1,500 lumens), resolute in FullHD, with a certain precision in the colors dictated by the matrix scheme of the “RGBB” diodes (ie with double blue LEDs).
According to the data sheet, the Vivitek Qumi Q9 smart projector uses a shooting ratio of 1.21: 1: as a result of this value, the projector can be placed at a distance between 1.2 and 6 meters from the wall, obtaining images stigmatized by diagonals from 37 to 200 inches, resulting in the ability, at a distance of 2.4 meters, to fill a screen whose base is 2 meters.
Equipped with a special integrated media-player, the Vivitek Qumi Q9 smart projector also takes great care of the audio: in this sense, it not only provides a pair of 3W speakers each, but is also very quiet in operation, boasting a noise which, depending on the setting in eco or standard mode, ranges from 27 to 29 decibels. It closes the array of equipment, the connectivity sector, with Wi-Fi and Ethernet, and that of ports, with a USB 3.0 Type-A, a Type-C, an HDMI 2.0 and an audio output via jack from 3.5 mm.
