At the height of a month of rumors, which wanted Realme to work on a cheap but elegant phone, the suspicions of the hi-tech sector insiders materialized – in the early hours of Indian dawn – in the new entry level Realme C30, almost unveiled. simultaneously with the “brother” Realme Q5x, instead included in the Chinese price list.

The Realme C30 (164.1 x 75.6 x 8.5 mm for 182 grams) has a custom frame in the Bamboo Green and Lake Blue palettes: frontally, the belonging to the low end is betrayed by the drop notch, and by the thick chin but, in the rest of the frame, you can appreciate a certain elegance, due to the flat side frames (smooth the left one, with the power button and the volume rocker on the left, with the microphone, the mono speaker, the 3.5 mm mini-jack and the unfortunately classic microUSB below) and the rear body.

The latter reveals a marked vertical undulation, pleasing to the eye and discreetly massaging when holding the device, which thanks to this texture also avoids slipping: curiously, the large bumper on the left shoulder is smooth and houses only one large , Photographic “porthole”.

The visual section of the Realme C30 is substantiated in a 6.5 “IPS LCD display, with a screen-to-body of 88.7%, a resolution only HD +, 60 Hz refresh rate and 120 Hz touch sampling (sampling frequency of the touch, i.e. how often touch is detected). The self-camera, for self-portraits and video calls, reaches 5 megapixels (f / 2.2) while, on the back, there is a single photographic sensor, which reaches 8 megapixels (f / 2.0), benefited in night shots by the LED Flash.

For the processor, Realme turned to the former Spreadtrum, now Unisoc, which provided an octacore chip (1.8 GHz) made with 12 nanometer lithography: it is the Unisoc T612 incorporating a Mali-G57 GPU: although it is one low cost smartphone, not surprisingly provided in the combinations of RAM and storage of 2 + 32 (7,499 rupees, or roughly 92 euros) and 3 + 32 GB (8,299 rupees or about 101 euros), the Realme C30 includes a volatile memory type LPDDR4X while the storage, of the UFS 2.2 type (eMMC bypassed), is also expandable via microSD (max 1 TB).

The battery of the Realme C30 reaches 5,000 mAh, but does not charge quickly, with a declared charge speed of 10W: the connectivity appears to be very basic which, in addition to those already mentioned, include dual SIM, 4G, GPS (Glonass / Galileo), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. Given the downward specifications, as already seen in the Realme C11 2021, a Go Edition of Android (11) sits at the control rudders on the software side, under the Realm UI.
