Realme Narzo 50A Prime: official entry level without charger

After launching the top range Realme GT Neo 3 in China, the Oppo sub-brand presented, for Indonesia, the low cost Realme Narzo 50A Prime and the Realme Buds Air 3 wireless earphones, already known to have been unveiled at MWC 2022 on the occasion of the launch of the top range Realme GT 2.

The Realme Narzo 50A Prime smartphone, an evolution of the standard model, has a body inspired by racing cars, with a finish reminiscent of the Kevlar material (as per the name Kevlar Speed Texture Design), drawn up in the consequent Speed Black and Speed Blue, with a drop notch in front, the fingerprint scanner on the side, and behind a bumper containing a triple camera with irradiation effects towards its right, covering the entire width of the device.

Frontally, there is a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display resolved in FullHD +, with 20: 9 aspect ratio, with 90.7 screen-to-body, 120 Hz refresh rate, 16.7 million colors, and 600 nits maximum brightness: the AI-based selfiecamera reaches 8 megapixels while the rear triple camera focuses on a 50 megapixel main sensor (with f / 1.8 to capture more light), one monochrome 2 (f / 2.8) and one for macros from 2 megapixels (f / 2.4).

Animated on the software side by Android 11 under Realme UI R Edition, the Realme Narzo 50A replaces the Unisoc T616 processor of the almost technical twin (at hardware level) Realme C35 with a Unisoc T612, an octacore flanked by 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and a storage, 64 or 128 GB, expandable up to 1 TB via microSD. On-board connectivity includes dual SIM with 4G VoLTE, GPS, 3.5 mm mini-jack, dual band Wi-Fi ac (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 and microUSB Type-C. The latter charges, yes, quickly, at 18W, the full-bodied 5,000 mAh battery, as long as you buy the appropriate charger on the official store since, in compliance with the principles of “Leap to Greener”, if the top range will have materials that respect the environment, the charger in the package will now be missing in the intermediate ones.

Consequently, it will also be necessary to consider the relative cost, to that of the device, sold (from 25 March) at 1,799,000 Indonesian rupiahs (114 euros) for 4 + 64 GB, and to 1,999,000 Indonesian rupees (127 euros) for 4+ 128 GB. On the other hand, from 18 local time today, the device will be available for purchase with a discount of 200,000 Indonesian rupiahs (about 13 euros).
