Since the Realme Pad was made official, it became clear that the brand of the BBK stable would not stop at that debut tablet, but that it would expand the list of this hardware category with new discoveries. This happened punctually in the Realme event of the past few hours, with which the awaited Realme Pad X was presented.
After the details relating to the limited edition dedicated to Naruto of the GT Neo 3 150W (12 + 256 GB at 2,799 yuan, about 389 euros), and those for the Realme Power Bank 3 Pro Naruto Limited Edition (33W, 79 yuan), Realme , which also sported a new logo for the occasion, raised the curtain on a new medium-high-end tablet. The new Realme Pad X has a frame in sea salt blue, star gray, and fluo green with a typical checkered flag pattern (in the name of a passion for racing also seen on the GT Neo 3) weighing 499 grams and 7.1 mm thick.
The latter data highlights the fact that the magnetic coupling on the back, also useful for recharging, has been chosen for the Realme Magnetic Stylus accessory (499 yuan, 69 euros), a light (16.5 grams) capacitive stylus with support for 4,096 pressure levels and autonomy equal to 10.6 hours.
Usable with a normal case, or with a case with keyboard and stand (“Realme Smart Keyboard”, 1.3 mm key travel, snap-on stand, from 399 yuan or 5 euros), the new Realme Pad X has an LCD screen of 11 inches resolved at 2000 × 1200 pixels (2K), with 5: 3 aspect ratio, 370 nits maximum (rising to 480 in sunlight) brightness, “super-sensing image quality engine 01”: unfortunately , the refresh rate is only from 60 Hz, but the touch sampling rises to 240 Hz and there is the Tuv certification for the low blue light emission.
Placed vertically, the Realme Pad X, equipped with fairly contained symmetrical front frames (84.6% of screen-to-body), places, on the long right frame, the ultra-wide-angle self-camera (105 °, support for vertical centering), to be 8 megapixels (Hynix hi846 sensor): the rear exhibits a rectangular module for what is a 13 megapixel single camera (Hynix hi1336). The audio system can count on two microphones with noise cancellation, as well as on four speakers, ready for Hi-Res audio and support for Dolby Atmos.
Waiting for a possible sprint version with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ (from the name of Realme Pad 5G Master Explorer), in the Realme Pad X the processor, always Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 (with relative performance benefits compared to the Snapdragon 680 of the “cousin “Oppo Pad Air), supported by 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of storage (expandable via microSD of max 512 GB), in the combinations of 4 + 64 (1199 yuan) and 6 + 128 GB (1,499 yuan ).
In terms of autonomy, the Realme Pad X relies on an 8,340 mAh battery, subject to fast charge (from 0 to 100% in just 2 hours and 2 minutes) – via microUSB Type C – at 33W: for the on-board firmware , the choice fell on the Realme UI 3.0 interface (on Android 12) customized for tablets.
