So much 5G from Xiaomi, with the global arrival of the Redmi 10, Note 11 Pro Plus and 11S

In the past few hours, the event was held with which Redmi, under the Xiaomi brand, announced several news for the global telephone market represented not only by the already known Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus (or Pro +), but also by the new Redmi models Notes 11S 5G and Redmi 10 5G.

Animated by Android 11 under MIUI 12.5 interface, the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus 5G (163.65 x 76.19 x 8.34 mm, for 204 grams) proposed in Italy is inspired by the Chinese model and not by the Indian one. As a consequence of this, the design is always the same, with the front with a hole in the top center (for the 16 megapixel self-camera) and, behind, an imposing totem that does nothing to hide that the favors of the layout are granted to the main sensor. , with native dual ISO, “Samsung HM2”.

Frontally, protected by Gorilla Glass 5, there is a 6.67-inch AMOLED resolved in FullHD +, with 120 Hz refresh rate, 360 Hz touch sampling, brightness from 700 typical to 1200 peak nits, not including the fingerprint scanner , placed sideways. On the back, the aforementioned main sensor (from 1 / 1.52 ″) reaches 108 megapixels (f / 1.8, with pixel binning per pixel brought to 2.1 micrometers), accompanied in the section just below by the ultra-wide angle (120 °) from 8 megapixel (f / 2.2) and the 2 megapixel (f / 2.4) macro sensor.

Equipped with two stereo speakers calibrated by JBL, the Redmi Mote 11 Pro Plus 5G is motorized, also thanks to the dissipation implemented by the vapor chamber, by the 6-nanometer octacore processor MediaTek Dimensity 920 (vs the “Indian” Snapdragon 695) with Mali G68 GPU, with RAM (LPDDR4x) and storage (UFS 2.2, expandable) that combine in a maximum of 8 + 256 GB of setup. In detail, as for distribution, from 6 April the 6 + 128 GB structure will be launched at € 379.90, and then settle at € 449.90, the 8 + 128 GB one will debut at € 379.90 then passed to € 449.90, and the one from 8 + 256 GB will have a launch price of € 479.90, then significantly raised to € 499.90.

Inside the chassis, waterproof according to the IP53 degree, colored in the shades Forest Green, Star Blue, Graphite Gray, there is a good assortment of connectivity, with the hybrid Dual SIM for 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi x / 6, the GPS, the infrared, the microUSB Type-C, the NFC for payments, the 3.5 mm mini-jack for headphones and earphones, even if the lion’s share is the energy section, not so much for the battery from 4,500 mAh, as for the ultra-fast 120W HyperCharge recharge (with attached charger) which, together with the MWT (Multiple Tab Winding) power energy technology, allows you to cover from 0 to 100% in a quarter of an hour.

On the second “lap”, under the aegis of Android 11 with MIUI 13 interface, the Redmi Note 11S 5G (163.56x 75.78 x 8.75 mm, for 195 grams, in the colors Midnight Black, Twilight Blue, Star Blue), evolution of the 4G LTE model of two months ago. Aesthetically it does not change from the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus. In front of the chassis (IP53 waterproof) it always exhibits a hole to house the selficamera, which however decreases to 13 megapixels. The display is no longer an AMOLED, but an LCD, however with adaptive 90 Hz refresh rate, 240 Hz touch sampling, support for the DCI-P3 color gamut, diagonalized to 6.6 inches.

Behind, the triple camera remains, but less performing since, compared to the 8 megapixel (f / 2.2) ultra-wide angle sensor (here from 119 °) and the 2 megapixel macro (f / 2.2), a main sensor of 50 megapixels stands out. (f / 1.8). On the audio side, the speakers are still two, for the stereo effect. In this case, MediaTek’s Dimensity 810 processor offers its processing services which, in terms of mnemonic support, can count up to 6 GB of RAM (LPDDR4X) and 128 GB of storage (UFS 2.2, expandable). The connections are here substantiated in the Dual SIM with 4 and 5G, in the Bluetooth 5.2, in the Wi-Fi, in the 3.5 mm jack, in the infrared and in the NFC, without neglecting the Type-C to load quickly, but at 33W, the enlarged battery to 5,000 mAh.

Always with MIUI 13 astride Android 11, the Redmi 10 5G also arrives. In this case, the chassis (163.99 x 76.09 x 8.9 mm for 200 grams, in the Chrome Silverm Graphite Gray and Aurora Green palettes) offers a water drop notch for the 5 megapixel (f / 2.2) camera, placed in head to the dot drop display, a 6.58-inch LCD panel, resolved in FullHD +, protected by Gorilla Glass 3, with 90 Hz refresh rate. The multi-camera on the rear changes its look, with a two-ring design, one of which is manned by the main sensor from 50 (f / 1.8), while the other is occupied by the 2 megapixel depth lens. In terms of audio, in this case, in addition to the presence of the 3.5 mm mini-jack, the support for Hi-Res sound output should be noted.

The Mediatek Dimensity 700 octacore processor (2.2 GHz), in addition to bringing 5G and a great energy efficiency to the battery, from 5,000 mAh (which can be quickly loaded only at 18W), can benefit from a maximum of 6 GB of RAM ( LPDDR4X), where the storage (UFS 2.2), expandable, reaches the climax with 128 GB. The connectivity structure in the Redmi 10 5G provides for the hybrid Dual SIM and, in addition to 5G, also Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, Wi-Fi 5, the NFC module.

Waiting to know the prices and mnemonic configurations of the Redmi Note 11s 5G and Redmi 10 5G, Xiaomi has announced that, from today, two other models also arrive in the Bel Paese, starting with the Redmi Note 11 Pro, with 6 + 64 GB sold for 48 hours at 299.90 euros (on Mi.com) and then go to 329.90 euros, and 6 + 128 GB listed for 48 hours (on Amazon and Mi.com) at 329.90 euros then scaled to 349.90 euros.
