The new subscription of the Japanese house, actually proposed with the name – once again – of PlayStation Plus, will put together, from June 2022, first in some Asian markets and then land secondarily in Europe, the USA and the rest of the world, the PlayStation subscriptions Now is the current PlayStation Plus, according to a system that can be explained in 3 levels, substantiated in the Essentials, Extra and Premium options.

The PlayStation Plus Essentials level, practically the same as the current PlayStation Plus subscription, will require a monthly fee of 8.99 euros, with savings that can be obtained annually if you sign up for a 12-month subscription, for the figure of 59.99 euros. What you get for these figures is easy to say: specifically, there will be two free games per month, game saves on the cloud, access to online multi-player and exclusive discounts.

PlayStation Plus Extra, on the other hand, requires an annual payment of 99.99 euros, or a monthly payment of 13.99 euros. In addition to the advantages of the previous level, with this other level you get over 400 games, including large third-party titles or PlayStation Studios, playable on PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles.

PlayStation Plus Premium, on the other hand, will require a monthly payment of 16.99 euros, which will total 119.99 euros if you opt for a more savings (but also binding) annual subscription. Last but not least, it will be possible to play the demos of some new titles, whose identity has not been revealed (yet, but there is time).

At the bottom of the announcement, Sony has unveiled some “substantial” elements, namely that the debut line-up of the new tripartite subscription will field games of the caliber of God of War, Death Stranding, Mortal Kombat 11, Marvel’s Spider-Man : Miles Morales, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and Returnal, to which other games will be added regularly, provided by third-party developers such as PlayStation Studios. Finally, on the side of those who are already subscribers, nothing will change for PlayStationPlus subscribers, whose subscription will be converted to the Essential level of the new project (with the same benefits), while – without further costs – the residual subscription of those who have subscribed PlayStation Now will be converted to PlayStation Plus Premium.
